This agency provides free legal services, food, clothing, counseling, and referral services to needy residents of Washington, DC. The Volunteer works closely with clients as an advocate, learns about government programs, and develops research and writing skills. Primary responsibilities include coordinating and conducting legal intake interviews of potential clients to identify the legal problem(s) presented by the individual and basic demographic and eligibility information. The Coordinator manages the entry of legal intakes into the database. The Coordinator takes primary responsibility for a small caseload of public benefits cases, particularly disability cases at the hearing stage, and will represent clients before an Administrative Law Judge. The position requires excellent organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects, patience, perseverance and an interest in the law.

I might have this job next year. Which terrifies me.
