When: 05 April, after finding out she'd been attacked.

Summary: After learning about her attack, Benjy goes to check on Marlene in the hospital wing and promises he'll kick the arse of the ones responsible.

It was unnerving seeing her like that. He'd never seen her outside of her normal snarky self. Shaking his head, he looked into her eyes. "Either you do or you don't," he said, looking at her intently. "Please say yes," he pleaded, prepared to do whatever necessary to keep her safe if she said no.

He nodded. "Damn right I will," he said, giving her a small smile when he saw her try to grin. He pulled her into a final hug before helping her ease back onto the bed, hoping he didn't hurt her in the process.

Still sitting on the edge of her bed, he looked down at her. "I'll talk to Lily as soon as I get back and one of us will talk to Dumbledore for you and somehow get into your dormitory to get your things," he said, already planning out how they were going to do that.

He looked down at their hands and smiled, giving hers a gently squeeze. "You're welcome," he said, looking back up to her. Really, though, she had nothing to thank him for. He was just looking out for her and trying to find the arsehole who had done this.

"Why don't you get some rest and I'll get everything sorted about your sleeping arrangements," he said, standing and slowly letting go of her hand.

"And that's what you need to keep doing until you get better," he said, reassuring her and smoothing a hand through his hair.

He nodded. "I think I might, but don't mention it, just get better for me, yeah?" he asked her, his eyes catching hers and waiting for her to agree to.

"Can't promise you that seeing as it always follows me," he said, chuckling at himself. Smoothing a hand across the top of her head, he gave her a smile. "I'll see you soon," he promised and then left the Infirmary, a million and one thoughts in his head. But first, before he could address any one of them, he had to speak to Lily first.
