Okay-I read this some several hours ago, and I know that I'm not going to get to say everything I want to on this, because my mind is kind of broken right now, and I probably will have forgotten some of it once I really get into other parts of it, because that always seems to happen. =)

I'm enamoured with this piece. I don't really know whatever had you worried! And I know that Bleu will love it. When I see you write Vince and Tifa together-it's so strange, knowing that you only just picked them up recently (as a couple, not generally, but you knew that), because they seem to fit so well the way you write them.

Their banter is so comfortable! There's a rhythm to it, a familiarity. They bounce off each other so nicely, like they're simply picking up where they left off some long time ago. Every joke, every dip in conversation is well-placed, and I feel like I know your Tifa by now, having seen her in a couple stories of yours, the way I get to see what's running through her head. Clearly you've established her character since long- ( ... )

one of them being the line, "I hope you take it as a compliment, at least"-because god knows where I heard that the first time from you.Bahaha! I honestly didn't realize I'd recycled that until you pointed it out. I really ought to get cracking and finish that one; I leave fics that need to get worked on out on my desktop to guilt me into paying attention to them, and with my luck, some day, someone is going to click on it ( ... )

I can just view the code source from LJ and copy it into my own editor. Thank you much!

And yes, it is nice to see them act like adults. It probably helps that an adult is writing it. XD

This, oh gosh, this made my day. MADE MY DAY! Not because it's finished, but because it was executed so well and wonderfully. Let's have internet babies together. Seriously.

I'm so sorry I didn't reply sooner. If I had known it was already up, I would have stopped everything just to read it. This story is all I had hoped for and more. Oh man, I think I'm going to cry.

Dammit I wish I was more articulate in describing how much I love this piece, but fuck, it just really made my day. :D

And I can't believe you dragged out the prompt to the very end. I kept waiting and waiting for it. Wondering where you could place it and then BAM! There it was. I swear I laughed out loud, not even caring that it was nearly two in the morning and Stone was still asleep.

This was just sooperawsum, seriously. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

PS: Sorry this post was pretty bleh as far as crit or something, but I just loved your story so much. I'm still smiling. I'm probably, no, I AM going to reread it before bed. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I like shaggy dog jokes. :)

When I finally got these posted and all the links sorted out, I actually stood up and yelled "FUCK YES! IT'S MILLER TIME!" (My cat was not impressed.)

I confess, this was not an easy one, but it seems the extra effort was well spent. (One of my primary issues with this one was "Oh God, all of this and what if she hates it? Gah!") I'm glad it made you smile; I told you I wasn't going to flake!

It was unusual to see Tifa spilling to Vincent in such a casual manner, but the progression in their dialogue leading up to the physical intimacy was natural and well paced. Comfortable, as a previous reviewer had put it.

Certainly one of the finest pieces I have ever read, for these two or other wise, have you got any others. I really can not find enough words to praise or thank you enough; to express just how impressed I am.

I'm so happy you enjoyed it, and really appreciate the comments; I don't think I've ever caused anyone to flail before. :) I knew this story was going to live or die on its dialogue the moment I started it, so it's great to hear it worked.

Most of my fanfic is in my memories. The only other Vincent/Tifa piece I've done is Deprecation, which is... quite a bit different from this story; take the warnings seriously.

Thanks!

That is so beautifully sweet. I love the way they interact with each other, tender and... not quite comfortable, but there's this sense of... security, the assurance of their bond. I love every bit of this story from the way Tifa ran her bar to their intimacy near the end, and I appreciate that not everything is suddenly becoming brilliant and perfect, yet still... things were looking up, and that balance of realism and hopefulness is very well-crafted. I'm probably not good at articulating how I find this story wonderful *smiles* So just let me say that, I really, really adore this story. And, I'm so glad I found it.

I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I like to think that they've been through enough that they've got the wisdom to realize that "happily ever after" is what you make of it.
