To answer Stephys Question
Hmm this one took some thinking. I was about to say how this was a thing that society has done mostly recently. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. This has been around for a long long time. Since at least Henry VIII (thanks mr graham). I think that it goes back....way back.
Mr Kutches once said that this was how it was before society became. Neanderthal man would get a big stick and kill his neighbor for his wife and children. So pretty much whoever had the biggest stick and the strongest swing would not only survive, but get the most women and the most children. And hey the more honeys you have the better no? Well according to neanderthal man who was prolly alot worse then the men of today.
Well times have changed, women arent impressed by who can scare them into staying with them. To attract a mate in todays society we flirt. So most guys who havent gotten away from thier neanderthal roots (who cmon face it are the most of us) are lookin to get the most women. Prolly not the most children anymore tho....
Theres half the other half just comes out of jealousy/possesiveness. Think about it a guys "owns" you on a primative level when you are his girlfriend. So in a way loosing a girl is like having someone gank your xbox, but the xbox is begging to be taken away...
So Yeah reason why? 95% of guys are assholes, what more do you want from me?
