mkay. so i figure its prolly time for an update of sorts. this is the last day of summer before senior year. my last summer as an official kid. i must say, its been pretty freakin awesome. it started out rough but ended beautifully. here are some of the good points i'll always remember about summer '05. : D
-A Closer Walk, NJ (SUPER DUFF)
-Dog sittin for Tara (it was like having my own house and pup for a week)
-SWIM ACROSS THE SOUND (hell yes)
-Those two weeks where i had no siblings (sorry Cw and Bandrew... but it was nice :-p) i swear my mom and i never made one real meal. the only true dinners we had were those 2 times we went out to eat. :-D
-the week after when Jacklyn came up to visit (you gotta do that more often girl!)
-college shopping (both times)
-Bradeleo's Bday party
-Lake Compounce with Callie! (Ed Gibson has look-alikes!)
-Boat trip to the Sand Pit with Jim and the fam
- 7/29 and every single day afterwards
-gettin my ipod (woot!)
-Captain's practices (the few i managed to get to :-p)
mkay, so that was my summer. lol, now i feel i need to dedicate a whole separate section to work. cuz the kennel is awesome and i love it.
i know you prolly don't care but this is my journal so here.
My favorite pups:
-Iceman. a really lanky, skinny, german shepherd who looks at you with innocent puppy eyes as he's being fresh cuz he wants to eat the leash, not go for a walk.
-Gretchen. a giant shnauzer who knows the EXACT length of each of the leashes and will wait as you walk the 25 feet ahead and then dash the full 50 stopping just fast enough so she doesn't snap your shoulder out of place. very awesome, especially since i've been rocked 6 feet forward before.
-Underfoot. a miniature dachshund male who when he first came to the kennel bit me on the knuckle (one of my favorite scars) and now a month later he tolerates people... but with the HUGEST badass attitude i've EVER seen. this dog doesn't even reach my shin in height. he's awesome.
-Elvis. another giant shnauzer who is terrified of people but still lunges at you as you open the kennel but then cowers in the corner when you show him the leash. it took me about 2 weeks to gain his trust. :-D but i did it.
-Tyson. an overly tall boxer who sleeps with his tongue out (no joke) and wags his butt because he has no tail.
-Alvie. the oldest female giant shnauzer in the place. she is convinced this little stuffed football is her puppy. its adorable.
-Otto. the real boss of the place. George's (my boss) oldest dog (he ownes 16 in total) who lets everyone know whos really in charge.
-Leia. one of the few golden retrievers i like. she and i wrestle everyday when i take her for a walk.
mkay... i think thats it. but there are a ton of pups who come and go. and they've all got character and personality. yup. i love my job.
i'm lookin forwards to the upcoming swim season. not school. in case you were wondering why this entry is so hyper.
hey guys.... we're SENIORS! hell yes.
