Got my copy of Odin Sphere, which is absurdly pretty - in my ideal parallel universe where the Saturn reigned supreme and 3D was a failed experiment, all games look like this. I'm not convinced by the play mechanics yet though (particularly the alchemy, which seems to require dozens of items, yet limits you to a tiny inventory).
N+ is eating my time at a worrying rate - I was up until 3AM without even realising, mostly retrying the penultimate level of the final episode.
Kate got me an egg that Billy Hatcher would be proud of. It's unopened so far because its Everestian proportions are still rather daunting to me.
We saw eels in their latest configuration (just E plus "The Chet") last night. It was a little disappointing compared to previous line-ups (it's hard to follow artists like John Parish and Butch), though there were some excellent highlights. Flyswatter turned into an extended piano/drum jam, during which E and Chet switched places twice without missing a beat. Instead of a support group they showed the BBC documentary about E's father, the inventor of the parallel worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics. I'd seen it before but it was still compelling viewing (though not everyone thought so - I overheard some teenagers in the lobby in the break saying, "the gig won't be boring though, will it?")
Finished The Ancestor's Tale, and feel much enlightened having read it. Am now revisiting Slaughterhouse Five.
I continued to be awesome at resolution 3 by cooking a whole three batches of flapjacks today. Admittedly the second batch was because the first one went horribly awry and ended with some bizarre crunchy oaty toffee-esque invention. The third was entirely voluntary though.
We won't mention the other two resolutions.
