Pizza from scratch

I've been making mozzarella for a while, and baking for even longer. Last year I started growing herbs on my balcony, and ever since then I've wanted to make pizza from scratch -- flour, milk, and tomatoes. I finally pulled it off last night, so I thought I'd post the results for everyone to see.

You are making me hungry. My pizza recipe is similar, but I use 3 kinds of flour because I'm all kindsa crazy. I'm been playing with the amount of olive oil to get the crust chewier, but I think they overnight sitting does it. How long did you have the dough out of the fridge before rolling it out? I think letting it sit for about 10-20 minutes for a last rise does it good after it's rolled out, too.

Also, I got a cheese making book for my birthday! I'm excited, but nervous to try it out. Your pictures of the process are great!

It was probably an hour before I got it into the oven. I let it sit for 30 minutes first.

Cheese making is fun. You have a lot of livestock in your area, so maybe you can get fresh goat milk. (The recipes on the internet start with "Go out in the back yard and milk your goat...") After that, persuade your parents to let you keep a cheese press in their garage. :-D
