D was waiting for him, dressed in his usual attire. Unlike Ichijou, D had yet to go and purchase new clothes for himself, preferring, oddly enough, to wash them every day after he returned from work, wait patiently in his undershirt and garments, and then wear them again the next day. Since he was outside of his house, his large brim hat was on. A small, plain black box sat on the table.

D felt that strange mixture of emotions well up in him at the sight of the blond--though they were pushed back almost instantly at the sight of how... human... Takuma looked. With his bright blond hair, alert emerald eyes and his slightly flushed cheeks that were alight with joy...

...

He couldn't have been...

D looked over Takuma's yukata with a disinterested look. It was a deep blue, much like the medallion around his neck. D found the color fitting on him.

"...Hello, Takuma." D nodded his head. The bakery was dimly lit--D's beautiful face was shadowed underneath the brim of his hat. When the vampire approached the table, he lifted his hand up, removing his hat out of respect. His sable hair lifted faintly with the movement.

Takuma took a seat in the chair across from the elegant looking man and placed his hands in his lap. He smiled pleasantly at him, his emerald eyes were warm as he looked at him, with a hint of inquisitiveness.

"Did you have a good day at work?", he asked, making small conversation before it got heavy. He pushed his golden hair out of his face and behind his ear.

"It was the same, as usual. Finding ore isn't very hard work. I don't have to talk to anyone."

D set the box down in front of Takuma on the table. It had the logo of Lacewing Dreams Formal Wear on it stamped deeply into the dark colored container.

"This for you."

His eyes fell onto the box when it was put on the table and his fingers gracefully went up to dust against the dark box. He read the label on it, recognizing the more expensive brand. He looked back up at the taller man then started to open the box.

He moved the tissue from over the item inside revealing a soft lavender tie adorned with a fancy cross tie pin. A small noise left his mouth.

"Thank you! This is much nicer than what I gave you!", he said picking it up and holding it out to see it better. "Haha. I almost feel bad accepting this!" The keyword was 'almost'.

D caught it was well... not that it mattered to him. The gorgeous man merely shook his head slowly, but said nothing on it.

The tie pin was a bright, shimmering silver. It was vaguely an oval shape, the cross in the middle with points on either end, and a wreath of silver roses surrounding it. The middle fill was of a few vines, that way the color of the tie could show faintly through.

"...Its good that you like it, then."

Takuma gave him an eyes closed smile and placed it gently back inside of the box, putting the tissue paper back over it and then closing it up again. "I really like it", he said with a nod. It kind of reminded him of home and the fancy tie pins they used with their uniforms.

He opened his eyes again and looked over at the menu. "Then, I'll pay for both of our treats! What would you like?", he asked, leaning his head into his hand and looking back over at the beautiful man.

D shook his head at the younger man. "There's no need to do that, Takuma." There wasn't. D looked over at him. "...This present was me paying you back. Besides... you should save your money, don't you think?"

Takuma waved his hand dismissing what he said. "I want to anyways and I have nothing really to save up for and I haven't bought too much since there's no need for groceries since our meals are free. And I can't cook anyways. And wouldn't you like something refreshing after a hard day's work?", he said in a light voice.

"So what would you like?"

It seemed D wasn't going to win this without a fight--and since fighting over who was going to pay for what seemed like a pointless affair, the beautiful man merely gave into Takuma's whims, and he tilted his head down at the menu, looking down at it with his lavender eyes that were hidden underneath his long lashes. "...I'm not sure. I've never eaten... a majority of the things here. Minus just a plain loaf of bread."

The dark-haired man shook his head. "...Nothing in here is familiar."

"Ah? Really?! We need to fix that, then!", he said with a nod and looked back down at the menu. "Now let's see...you don't seem the type that would like something too sweet and something very sweet may overpower you now since you just eat plain bread."

He looked down the menu to pick out something tasty, yet not too heavy with sugar. There were so many cupcakes listed and those were too sugary with the icing and all of that. The only cupcake that he thought would be suited for him would be the carrot cupcake, but even then, the icing may be a bit much.

Continuing on, his eyes fell on the pumpkin loaf. Well that didn't seem too bad at all! Something with flavour, but at the same time not too cavity inducing.

"We'll start you off with a slice of pumpkin loaf. And to drink...coffee would taste pretty good with it, I think. So I'll order that for you! And for me...I'll have a hot chocolate and a vanilla cupcake! You can have a bite of mine if you're curious", he said.

Standing up, he went to go purchase the snacks and brought them back over to the table.

"There we are! I brought back some creme and sugar for your coffee if you wanted it"

D watched as Takuma stood and left the table quietly. His lavender gaze settled on his back.

As of now, Takuma seemed perfectly fine. As if what had happened last time hadn't happened at all--though maybe that was merely in his personality. He wondered how the blond was handling. Was he taking those capsules every day? Every other day? Or until he was close to how he'd been before, his expression fretful, senses strained and throat parched for the re liquid that had been made from the capsules D had on him.

And why? Why had D had them on him? He thought, perhaps, they were his... but as he had yet to suffer from those same symptoms as Takuma...

And a voice that had spoken to him... he heard it often during his memories--another voice, loud and obnoxious, but always there. Was he crazy? Mental insane? Or was there someone there that his memories had yet to allow him to see?

D closed his eyes. He opened them again once Takuma returned to the table with the food. he glanced down at the pumpkin loaf and the coffee. He sniffed them, the scent filling his senses. D nodded his head towards him in thanks, sparing a glance down at the food.

There was a bit of silence until he spoke again.

"...How are you?"

Takuma sipped on his hot chocolate politely and glanced up at him when the other man asked him the question. He set his cup down and gave him a smile. "I'm doing great! Work was pretty relaxed today and I had a great cup of tea during my break. I also dipped my feet into the warm water because I was getting a bit cold. You and Tsubasa-kun should really come by the onsen one day. It's a really nice place", he rambled. It was hard to tell if he blatantly didn't answer the real question or if he really was just prattling on in a carefree manner.

Whichever it was, D would let him have it. He lifted the mug of coffee to his lips, taking a few swallows of the slightly bitter substance while he listened to Takuma speak. The man even added in just a spoonful of sugar to dilute the bitter taste, and quite a bit of creme--that was mainly to make the drink smoother.

"You have to take a boat to get to the onsen, yes?" D spared a glance at the pumpkin loaf, which he had yet to take a bite out of.

Ichijou watched him as he added creme and sugar to his coffee then picked up his own hot chocolate sipping at it again casually. He moved the warm beverage from his lips to speak again. "A boat? Mmm-mm...no. We get to ride in a shuttle. It's pretty scary, actually since it doesn't seem all that stable, but we make it there in one piece. What's it like with two jobs? Do you get tired?", he asked curiously.

Stalling from talking about his own memories? Perhaps. He wanted to find out more about D mostly. His own condition wasn't so important, not yet anyways.

"Not as tired as you get from working with people all day, I am sure..." D stated, answering but not answering Takuma's question at the same time, attempting to direct the conversation back on him. They were both playing the same game. "What is it like at the onsen?"

Now this was slowly turning into a game for the blond noble. If it was a contest of conversation, then surely he would win! Social parties, small talk, mingling, it was his specialty. He was a noble, after all.

"The onsen is very traditional Japanese. It's relaxing, the people there aren't very hard to please just so as long as you get what they need. Plus, they're so relaxed from the resort that there's really not much fuss! Have you ever soaked in a hot spring before? You seem like you could use a dip sometime", he said curving the focus back onto him.
