What: Himawari wants Raven to teach her how to cook.

That snapped him back to his senses. A little too much time to start focusing on what he had remembered, something he was trying to avoid. But there she was! "There ya are! I was beginnin' ta worry somethin' might have happened to ya, darlin'! Oh, such a thought, ol' Raven's heart couldn't take it!" Overdramatic as always. Could Raven be anything else?

He wasn't entirely sure what she wanted to make here, so he made sure he had access to pretty much everything he'd need. With a little luck, he wouldn't need to run out and get new ingredients.

"Hmm... somethin' simple." The look on his face didn't change much, but he was mentally sorting through recipes he had looked through prior to this. He wanted to have a better repertoire for this very important first date impression, after all!

"Well, one I'm thinkin' of is a bit of a unique one. Ever heard of somethin' called sukiyaki?"

"So ya do know it! Awesome! That makes my job so much easier!" And there she went calling him sensei again. Now that voice was making it all worthwhile. "Whaddya think? Good place ta start?"

Ahh, how adorable! How did he ever get through life without someone like Himawari to cheer him up? Ah, but to keep her happy, he'd have to continue with the cooking lessons! ...well, it wasn't like that was a bad thing. If this one went well, she'd come back for another! "This one's kinda unique ta make in that ya actually get ta eat it while yer makin' it! Don't even have ta take it out of the pot!"

"Well, fer this, ya need some sort of meat and a bunch of whatever else ya feel like eatin'. I got some beef fer this one, so that's that. For everything else, well. Veggies, rice, mushrooms, lettuce, whatever ya think would taste good fried up in sauce! Go nuts!" For the purposes of the recipe, he already had all the things he mentioned.

He collected all the ingredients onto two plates as she said them, the beef on one small plate and the rest on a much larger one. "Works perfect, darlin'! This is gonna be awesome, I can taste it already!"

"Okay, first thing we gotta do is cut all this stuff up into tiny little bite-sized pieced. Well, 'cept for the noodles. But everything else's gotta be small enough that ya could just reach in, pluck somethin' out, an' eat it right there." Despite the readily available kitchen knives, Raven went to the sink and pulled out the dagger he kept at his waist and starting washing it down, just to be on the safe side.
