Who: Everyone What: Oktoberfest, the beer version Where: The large building in the park When: September 27 to October 4 Warnings: Alcohol and all the havoc it may bring.
What do you mean, Raven just got here? Raven has always been here! Glasses are piling up in a corner and keep on coming. Before long, there'll be a pyramid starting!
Athrun walked over, a half-finished glass in his own hands (how did that get there?). Needless to say, he was stunned by the amount of beer that Raven had already drank.
"Hey, don't you think you've had enough?" Athrun asked. He has no interest in dealing with an alcohol poisoning while he's here.
Raven slowly turned around to meet Athrun... and nearly toppled over in the process. He wasn't officer, drunk.
"Whaddya mean, enough? I'm juuuuuust gettin' started!" With a loud cheer, he celebrated the highly drunken state he was already in and added to it a call for another drink. How did they keep showing up? More importantly, who cares? Fountain of beer!
"Poison? Who's gettin' poisoned?" He thumped his own chest rather hard, missing his actual heart, before he responded, "This ol'... thing, whatchamacallit, it'll take care o' me. No one's gettin' poisoned tonight!"
Before long, he had lifted his glass and started a somewhat off-key song -
"Ohhhh, the Zaphias girls'll do it for pearls And Mantaic gals for water! But if ya want a passion of consuming fashion Go down on a Dahngrest daughter!"
A few people around him laughed and applauded. Whether it was for the song or the fact that he slipped off his chair and fell on his back laughing, none could tell.
Being tall and thin with very little previous consumption of alcohol, Terra was most certainly a lightweight. It hadn't taken long at all for her to feel tipsy on just the normal - or what should have been normal - water, and so when she suddenly found herself outside of the building that had been closed up, she spent about a minute blinking up at it in confusion. There was clearly a celebration going on inside, and she was curious now. Moving slowly, she stepped into the bar.
It didn't take long for Terra to spot Raven, as his pile of glasses was definitely the biggest. His singing wasn't exactly quiet, either. She walked over and carefully sat down next to him, watching him silently.
Raven was, thankfully, back on his seat at the time. Although that was a rather hilarious spill. Now he was just trying to come up with a new song. That last one didn't come out as well as he had hoped. Not dirty enough?
When he opened his eyes from his drunken thought, he noticed a new arm. Whoa! When did he get that? He turned to look at it and - oh! It was just a new person. And not just any new person!
"Terra!" he shouted, putting an arm around her and pulling her closer. "When'd ya get here? I didn't even hear ya come in!"
Terra tensed, but didn't attempt to pull away from him. The sudden movement had made her head spin even more, and... well, being close to Raven was nice, even if he was stinking drunk. A slight blush crept up her cheeks at that thought, but she blamed it on the alcohol. Yes, of course, that was it.
"I haven't been here very long. But you..." Once again, she looked at the considerable pile of empty glasses.
Oh, she did. She was happy that they were at the bar; she needed the support. "I haven't even had a drink and I feel... odd. How in the world did you drink so much?"
Raven also needed the support, for a far different definition of the word support. "Whaaaat? Ya haven't even had a drink? C'mon, ya gotta have somethin'!"
Before he even thought about it, he was passing his new, mostly untouched drink to Terra.
"I, ah..." She took the glass from him gingerly, but didn't drink. With Raven this far gone, she needed to stay sober so she could watch out for him. Even if she was still feeling tipsy.
Assuming none of it breaks, but shh.
