"Oy, Hibari-kun," Ginko called out to Hibari, grinning widely. After talking to enough people here, he'd pinned down the magic that had befallen the town. Hibari hadn't come here because he'd thought of it himself.
He looked around, found an empty bar stool, and dragged it loudly across the floor for him.
Hesitation. "Are you drinking?" Ginko asked before he addressed anything else Hibari'd just said. What happened when Hibari drank, again? ... Surely, he wouldn't do that here. Of course. They were in the middle of a bunch of strangers, plus a handful of friends. Ginko pushed the worries aside.
Teasing. "I know I do. Try it out for a bit longer and see how you like it. Also, you didn't complain when I tried it out the first time," he pointed out, and then coughed to cut off that particular train of thought, look some other direction and smirk. "...All the tables are full at the moment, so this'll do. Shouldn't be hard to find more to join us."
He raised the pint to his lips. A gulp...actually, make that a chugging that lasted just under 10 seconds. It was close to gone, so he had to tip it back some.
Ginko let out a loud and satisfied sigh as he put the pint down again, his cheeks now finally starting to show the slightest hint of drunken rosiness. He turned his head a little when Hibari tugged at him, looking like he'd just gotten out of bed, for how droopy his eye was.
"Mm? No, not yet. I'm right where I want to be," he said, not realizing what that might've sounded like. Someone passed by them with a tray, and he deposited the empty pint atop it.
"That was my...third. Mm. Third," he confirmed and nodded confidently to himself, staring over at the musicians across the way, who were wailing a waltz-like fight-for-freedom tune. He reached over and tipped a few gulps more of Hibari's beer into his mouth without pulling it away, and then sat back up, shaking his head 'no' and holding up his hand politely.
"Yeah, I'm fine-- ...Why is your hand," he said, not bothering to finish the sentence as his chin dropped to his chest, giving him a clear view of his own belt. He glanced up at Hibari with a look of dull confusion.
"Before I know it, you're going to have a leash on me, aren't you," Ginko grumbled loud enough to be heard just by Hibari over the ruckus, fumbling and not putting all that much effort into trying to relinquish Hibari's grip from his waistband. Maybe that's all it would take though; Ginko's holding onto your wrist now, Hibari, maybe that's not so bad?
Whatever happened to that hand, the fingers on the other had started drumming on Ginko's knee along to the musician's beat. Apparently beer caused Ginko to have more energy.
Ginko's hand kept trying to catch Hibari's wrist again and not get tangled up in those fingers and it wasn't working very well but at least he was doing a good job of putting up appropriate airs, should Ike or, worse, one of his students happen to walk by. He cleared his throat at Hibari's comment about the leash, trying to disguise a nervous laugh, which worked for now. Later in the evening, however, Hibari might be in for a treat.
Seriously though, uh, w-what was Hibari doing. He tried to pretend that he wasn't paying attention by swaying to the musician's beat more.
"Hnnnn... I'm joining it from here just fine. Hey, your friend Maguri coming too? I haven't run into Fay yet, so I don't know if he's on his way, either," Ginko said surprisingly fluently, given his generous alcohol intake. The alertness brought on by Hibari's attention helped just a little.
Ginko was, for the moment, succeeding magnificently at looking like he wasn't being flirted with. At least, that's what he thought. Honestly, though, he didn't even blink when his shirt was tugged, merely raising an eyebrow at Hibari as if he were displaying purely abnormal, drunken behavior

"So how do you keep your mind busy? Never mind, don't answer that," Ginko chided. Yup, his shirt was untucked; a lot of people's shirts were here. Nothin' big.
"You don't see me running to all the most crowded places often, do you? I know how you feel, I also prefer one-on-one interaction. Still, sometimes it can be interesting just people-watching," he admitted, taking a look around the celebratory atmosphere. "It isn't so difficult to avoid interaction at crowded gatherings, I'm sure you've found."
Ginko's hand reached up and stopped Hibari's beer-chugging before it went on for TOO long, gently pulling down a tad. He smiled sheepishly (or was that deviously?) at Hibari, getting up off his barstool. Arm slung behind the teen's back, Ginko helped him off his barstool and moved to escort him...somewhere. "Come on now, you can't rush it-- Here, let's get you something to help soak up the liquor."

MAMMOTH TAG, lolsore_feet_manSeptember 29 2009, 03:53:16 UTC
"Just a pit-stop, and then we'll get back to the party," Ginko promised.
To be honest, Ginko knew how seedy he was acting, as he led the much-younger Hibari through and away from the crowd, away from the bar, toward the back. He realized that he was taking advantage of Hibari's inebriated state, as he turned a darkened corner and moved his eye over the surroundings, checking to make sure they were alone for the moment. Though he was drunk, he was aware enough of the situation that he could feel a sense of responsibility. He'd been thinking about it ever since he stepped into the building earlier that evening, seduced there by magically-enchanted tea.
This event is potentially dangerous, but not in the usual way. There are more than a few young faces here, besides Kyouya. Is everyone safe, getting caught up in the celebration like this? Who is watching out for who? On an island of amnesia, you don't have lifelong friends to watch your back.
Kyouya's breath smelled of beer. Ginko didn't mind.

"Join me?"
It wasn't even next to a table.
