[someone swat me if I'm doing this wrong; it's been a while since I've done anything log-based. And sorry for the repost; correcting a grammar error.]...It was a lively and encouraging set of sights; no doubt of that. Despite his current predicament, X found his spirits uplifted by the lively and energetic performers; this whole festival seemed to reflect what Terra's had said about the island's nature. Furthermore, memories returned to people who attended these events, or so he'd been told...and he couldn't help but feel excited about the prospect ( ... )

"One of the last things that you might notice, after living here for long enough," Ginko started speaking before even saying hello to X, "is that the island rarely repeats holidays or other celebrations."

He looked up at the large building showing off the large beer icon on it with a look of suspicious curiosity on his face.

"This time last year, a majority of the island was experiencing everyday life as the opposite gender, thanks to a magical curse. The year before that was the Lunar Festival, just a few weeks after I first arrived."

Hey, there was a familiar voice. X regarded him with a small smile. "Hey, Ginko."

The android's eyes followed Ginko's back to the boarded-up structure. "So it's common for Memento Eden to feature curses in these events?"

Ginko scratched the back of his head, trying to decide the best answer. "Well... No one was cursed during the Lunar Festival or immediately after. There've been a good amount of social events here that didn't involve anything magical, besides the festivities blinking into existence without any explanation as to how it got there," he explained.

"Don't be nervous, though; even if there are magical curses every so often, they wear off in about a week's time."

Like that makes it any more tolerable, Ginko thought quietly to himself.

"Hmm."

A nod followed to accentuate his affirmation, but X's eyes hadn't yet left the derelict(?) building. He was willing to guess that it was meant for alcohol distribution, but why was it boarded up? It hadn't been in the park before; at least, nobody had made mention of it. He was willing to guess that it appeared exclusively for the festival, but that didn't explain why the public was apparently denied access to it.

"So what was the Lunar Festival like?"

"It was a good place to meet new friends in a new place," Ginko answered without having to think for long at all, and turned to X with an encouraging grin, "Syaoran and I weren't familiar with what the Lunar Festival was at all, but I'm glad we both braved the unknown and attended. After that, Syaoran became my assistant at the school.

"The festival actually wasn't too different from this. I get the feel that the people behind the magic of this island hold the variety of cultures across the worlds very dear, and these celebrations are an example of that."
