On the other hand, it was easy to get caught up in the festivities. She enjoyed learning about the pastimes of other people, other places, other cultures... it was too bad there was nothing like this in the Qliphoth. It would have been funThere was far too much to ( ... )

Tear studied Luke for a moment. She wasn't particularly surprised to see him, and it would have been much more unusual to her if she hadn't bumped into him at all.
"We don't have festivals like this at home, and I thought it looked interesting. Actually, I was trying to figure out how that man managed to swallow a broadsword without choking on it. It seems dangerous, and would hardly be useful in battle. He must have been practicing for a long time."
She said that, but it wasn't terribly hard to guess that Tear was actually enjoying the performance, even if sword-swallowing wasn't a very useful skill in her book.

A brief survey of the area and Tear had located the spot where she had last seen the apparently very popular sword-eater. The melodist pointed towards a cluster of onlookers.
"There's a large crowd of people, but I seem to recall him being in that direction."
