That didn't fly.
So he came out with a bowtie.
That didn't fly either.
Then he came out with a new shirt, but the same jacket.
That didn't fly and then she told him to get a new outfit altogether.
He tried a fourth time and managed to follow instructions, coming out in a yukata. And so that's what Terra got - the most fashion-conscious man in all of Memento Eden.

"Thank you for finally picking out a new outfit, Raven."

His smirk showed that, as he behaved 98% of the time, he was still screwing around and nothing he ever said could be taken seriously.
Reply
"You look very nice."

He didn't react to her compliment. He could've said thanks, or even acknowledged it, but it was more fun to him to continue teasing.

When they arrived, she looked around at the lanterns, then up at the sky. "Oh, look at the stars! How beautiful..."

When he walked, his arms came down from behind his head, but his right arm wasn't at rest. His hand was at belt height, pressing against the yukata as if he were trying to hold something in place. The left, on the other hand, was already grabbing a plate while Raven looked over the food wiht hungry eyes.

It couldn't hurt to ask, though she knew she'd never get a straight answer out of him. "Is your arm feeling okay, Raven?"

It wasn't in her nature to be aggressive, but she knew that the only way she'd get any answers was to take charge. As much as that thought bothered her, not knowing bothered her even more.

"Nope. This arm looks fine too." Whether he was just acting or genuinely confused by his actions wasn't readily apparent. So he went back to loading food on his plate.
This time using two hands.

She gathered up her own plate and began to look for a free table, hopefully something closer to the back and a bit out of the way of all the crowds.

Eventually, they had found a table, unwittingly to Raven, to Terra's specifications. It seemed a bit out of the way from the ball and dance floor itself, so it was comparatively quieter.
Comparatively. The party still raged on around them, but at least before they dug in themselves, it was a moment of calm.

It hadn't taken memories for her to realize that crowds made her uncomfortable, but she had still wanted to attend the ball, if only for the promised memories and an item from home. She had been shocked when Raven asked her to attend with him... and it had only surprised her more as other people she knew had also asked. She privately admitted to herself that she was quite pleased that Raven had asked her first.
