Subaru was a big kid. This made her far from the most graceful or refined person in the ball, but in an odd way her not a care, blissfully unaware attitude about being out of place was almost charming as she gobbled food in her blue yukata.

... hopefully she'd not get it messy while eating...

Nina stifled a laugh at the display. She hadn't known Subaru for very long, but even then it was clear she wasn't particularly... refined. Oddly enough, to Nina's royal standards, Subaru still passed. She was rather endearing, after all.

She gave Subaru a polite wave and smile as she approached. "So have you found a favorite as of yet?"

She at least had enough refinement to gulp down her food before speaking. After all, Ginga would scold her otherwise.

"Nina! Hiii!"

She laughed a bit. "How can I pick, it's all soooo gooood!"

"Are you sure? Not even a recommendation? I am running into a similar predicament; it all looks so good, I'm not sure where to begin."

"How about this?" Without a thought, Subaru picked up a little bit of salad between her chopsticks and held up to Nina's mouth~

She was taken aback for a moment in surprise when Subaru had offered in her own manner. She was expecting more of a verbal recommendation than a physical one. Nonetheless, she leaned forward and took the bite of salad, chewing thoughtfully.

After she had swallowed, she voiced her approval. "That was quite a good start indeed! Thank you."

"You're welcome~ Want more?" Subaru was happy to feed the other girl~ Her chopsticks were already reaching to pick something else up.

There was something about Subaru that she just couldn't say no to. Or rather, she had such a problem saying no herself that Subaru didn't help matters. "W-Well, if you insist, that'd be fine."

Subaru just happily went along with it. She'd notice Nina's discomfort at some point, but she was having too good a time right now. She brought over a piece of tobiko sushi, beginning to hover it towards Nina's mouth. " 'Ahhh~' "

Oops.

Her chopsticks slipped a touch and she dropped fish roe and rice within the low cut area of Nina's dress. "A-A-aah, I'm so sorry!" She scrambled and picked up a napkin!

She reached out at Nina's chest to clean her up. "U-uhm at least I didn't get any on your dress, jeez, I'm really sorr--"

Her jaw stayed slack and her hand stopped just short of Nina's chest for a moment. Woah, now how did I not notice those until now?

She tried to step back and away from the falling food, but to no avail. "Oh," she exclaimed, thinking of some word she could introduce after that without cursing, but not finding any.

Sighing slightly, she picked up a spare set of chopsticks and slowly lifted the errant piece out. "Well, that could have been much worse. These are difficult to use."

And with that, she popped the sushi in her mouth.

"I'm r-really sorry about that. U-um, you have some... some fish eggs on your chest." It was distracting. Really. Yeah.

She managed to salvage the biggest piece, so it wasn't all lost. Sighing again, she resorted to just wiping up the remainder with a napkin.

Subaru just blinked and stared while she did so...

She had finally cleaned everything up, and it was only then that she noticed Subaru staring. Teasing, she said, "If I did not know better, I would think you did that on purpose."
