"After the first time? In passing, once or twice. I was told that I would have a room here, but none has shown yet."

This woman was still the strangest person he ever met. She recognized him, but never said his name, nor did she seem to recognize the name Schwann. She was incredibly concerned about someone's well-being, but then went and grabbed at his chest to prove a point. She was both trustworthy and suspicious. Yeager would have had a field day learning from her.

He was still so tense. Did the man ever relax? If this really was Raven's younger self, something had happened to change him drastically. Terra hadn't actually called him Raven as she knew that it would only make things worse, but it was tempting, if only to see what kind of reaction she'd get.

Of course his name wasn't on the apartment list; it was a different name now. "Hmm, well. Sometimes the listing isn't perfect. Don't worry. A friend of mine is away, I believe, so he won't mind if you use his room for the time being."

A convenient excuse. She had already said he looked familiar, and now she was attempting to put him back in this room. If her friend was truly away, then there was no harm in using the place as temporary lodging until he returned... provided he didn't lock the door on departure.

He silently nodded and followed Terra up the stairs.

Was he buying it? She certainly hoped so. It had been a few days since she had returned to the island and she hadn't seen Raven once, which only helped to convince her that she was right.

She led him all the way up to the eighth floor and down the hall. "I'm not sure if I could get you another key, but I'll try if it would make you more comfortable."

"It would also depend on whether or not your friend decided to lock his door upon departure. I highly doubt they would give out keys to unrelated parties."

Much to his surprise, the door to Room 810 opened smoothly.

Terra didn't reply, but she highly doubted Schwann was an "unrelated party", as he put it. She smiled as the door opened without a problem, even if it did surprise her a bit. Raven didn't seem the type to leave his door unlocked, but perhaps he hadn't had the chance to lock it before the island's magic got the best of him. Or perhaps she was wrong and she was about to barge in on him...

She walked through the door and relaxed when she saw that the room was empty. She also noticed that Raven's coat was hung on a hook; she couldn't remember ever seeing him without it. Strange.

"It looks like everything should be fine with you staying here. What do you say? It's better than sleeping outside, isn't it?"

He recognized the logo on the back, the white and gray diamond split by an X. He had seen it in Dahngrest and again near Temza. Was it one of the divisional Knight symbols?

He stared at the bed on the right, a bit messy but generally well-kept. That was clearly her friend's bed. Instead, he turned to the left, took off the cape which functioned as his own division's symbol, and draped it on the bed. He left his armor on for the moment, but now with a less obstructed view, it was clear to see that, despite the differences in shapes, the tighter fit and the lack of sleeves, it was the same style of coat.

"If he comes back, I'll explain the situation to him and be on my way. If he doesn't... I see no harm in it." Which was a complete lie, but it was better than sleeping outside.

She saw him inspect the jacket, and couldn't help but wonder if he recognized the logo. Of course, he was examining the entire room, so perhaps it meant nothing at all. The coat that Schwann had been wearing looked an awful lot like Raven's, though...

"I don't think he'll be back for at least a few more days. And I refuse to let you sleep outside, so this arrangement is perfect."

She paused, unsure if she should even bring it up.

"What does that logo on your coat stand for, if I may ask?"

He paused and picked up the cape he had just taken off. "This? The symbol of my brigade. Everyone under my command wears this symbol, typically on their shoulder guard."

"I see." She paused, looking at Raven's coat again, then back to Schwann. "Did you recognize the symbol on my friend's coat as well?"

"It's..." Funny, he couldn't actually remember which division, just a vague inkling, and even then it wasn't all that convincing. "I think it might be one of Dahngrest's divisions. However, I'm not often in Dahngrest, so my memory is fuzzy at best."

So he did know it, if only in passing. More proof, as far as she was concerned.

"I guess this means my friend is from the same world as you, after all." She smiled. She was sure that she was right, now.

"I'm not sure a simple logo confirms anything."

Perhaps a better subject was in order. "Do you like seafood?"

The change of subject surprised her a bit, but she didn't want to confuse him further, so she decided to go along with it. "I do, yes. It's been a long time since I've been able to eat good seafood..."

"Allow me to have the honor, then." He left his cape and parts of his armor where they were, but left his gauntlets on and his sword with him. "If you have found me a better place to stay, I would be more than happy to repay the favor."

"You did say you were going to give me a taste of your cooking." Terra looked to his sword and frowned a bit. "You really don't need to take that with you. Haven't you been convinced that the island is safe yet?"
