Adieu, Memento Eden, adieu!

Well, it was probably obvious that it would come to this, given my lack of posting, but I'm dropping Lupin here and Bel (princeofknives). I'm not clever or ambitious enough to do the former justice (I have all these ideas, but little motivation to get off my butt and put them into motion), and the latter...I don't know, it just isn't working. I may try Lupin ( Read more... )

Aww, thanks. You're making me blush.

I'm not really happy about dropping him, but I kept repeating the same old cycle.

Lupin: I do hate to trouble you when you're so obviously busy lounging on the futon, but it seems as if I've once more languished into uncharacteristic silence and inactivity.

Me: Meh.

Lupin: Perhaps it is time I commit a caper of some sort? After all, you no longer have the excuse that I am bereft of all my memories.

Me: Yeah, but that would require me thinking of something for you to steal, thinking of a clever way for you to go about it (other than just 'yoink, this is mine! MWA-HA-HA!') and then coordinating all that with other muns. Plus you tend to babble, and it's a pain to write. Really, the entire thing smacks of effort.

Lupin: Now, now, that's no way to talk! Anything worth doing requires an effort (You must understand, I simply make it look easy). You have to take the initiative. Surely you understood that when you agreed to our partnership?

Me: Yeah, but I kind of thought you'd do all the work. And don't call me Shirley

Lupin: Thought I'd do the work? How is such a thing even possible? Lazy and dim, not an attractive combination. Well, there is something else I am known for, if actually plotting a simple crime is too much to ask of you...

Me: No way, Romeo. I hate writing romance.

Lupin: I see. So you decided to take on the arduous duties of writing the world's most notorious and romantic gentlemen burglar, knowing full well that the very things that attracted you to such a character would make him nearly impossible for you to write?

Me: Pretty much.

Lupin: A word of advice, my dear...in the future stick to writing thinly characterized comic book characters.

Damian: HEY, SCREW YOU!

And so on. Maybe I'll pick him up again someday.

Look, you made Kuro need a drink from my woes! kurokurowanwan August 11 2009, 06:51:05 UTC
*wibbles. just absolutely wibbles like a sad fangirl* You are so fantastic at that voice for him, even if it is a lot of work. I mean, the effort shows, man.

*cries in a corner*

Edit: Just to clarify, I do totally understand why you are letting him go though, but if you ever do bring him back, I will be so happy to see it, that's all. You are fantastic at him. *is reminded that I have to steal that book from Mari to read still!*
