So I was always taught, my lady. The enemy will not take your skill into consideration and go easy on you accordingly, and we do not have the time to simply build such things up.

I...hope he doesn't try it. He was having enough trouble with a regular sword. The extra one that I have is as much for sentimental as practical reasons.

What trouble has he? Too clumsy? Perhaps a lighter blade? Though I admit I am no swordsman, and so my knowledge is but a little in that field.

He was awkward with it and seemed to get winded easily. It takes patience to learn how to fight with a sword.

Ah. I knew of one who had the same problem, once.

I was going to suggest a long knife to start him, bt some claim that takes further patience. I suppose it depends upon the fighter.
