Beginning of the year, gotta say something.

My New Year's Resolutions so far:

1. Sleep less (eight hours is plenty, I guess)
2. Get more physically active (I've been running and doing sit-ups off and on, now it's time to start doing them on a daily basis or, at best, three or four times a week.)
3. Make a better attempt to mingle with people (People come over to my house almost on a daily basis, and I'm warmimg up to some of them, finally, but now I need to work on expanding my horizons and being more outgoing to the people that I'm really interested in hanging out with.
4. Quit smoking.
5. Read more. (I'm off to a good start so far, in '04 I read High Fidelity, a book about the JFK Conspiracy, What Should I Do with my Life? By Po Bronson, Ordinary People, and I'm currently in the middle of a book called Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk.
6. Try to abolish some of my pet peeves and intolerances.

Last night was a decent night, even though I had to work. Slept until 5:00 p.m., when Tom woke me up to tell me that Ti was on the phone, who asked me to meet her at Wal-Mart. I'm glad we got to hang out for those couple of hours, she needed someone to vent to, and her choosing me to be the one she comes to always makes me feel good about the kind of person I've set out to be. Work came and went surprisingly smoothly, no customers throwing a fit about alcohol or throwing up all over the place, and actually, it was slow enough to where I could, for the most part, kick back and relax.

I guess you could say I'm ready for what 2005 is bringing.
