Every person will some day die, I realize this, but after learning about the shooting that took place in Columbus, Ohio, it kind of made me think. Now I'm not a fan of Pantera or Damageplan, but I wondered to myself: How scary would it be to die without preparing yourself? True, no one can really PREPARE for death, but when you think about it, there are those people who die of old age, and they really had a chance to LIVE their lives, experience the ups and downs, and hopefully make peace with friends and loved ones and tell them how much they mean to the individual. And there are those, such as the musician from Pantera/Damageplan, who never even knew, never even saw it coming, and just like that, it's over. I realize once you're dead there are no more regrets, so therefore a dead person can't feel cheated, but it's just more comforting to know that some of us will be fortunate enough to be there with the ones we care about the most during our final days.
