I'm back and kicking all the way

Hello everyone. My computer is alive again. The rock in my life is working. No more anything and Sezi I have you to thank for that. I tried the company you recommended and it worked! You are right McAfee is shit and a waste of my money.

But in other news I won tickets to the GRAHAM NORTON SHOW!!!!! For everyone who doesn't know what it is, check this out. It's the first part of the show I watched last year with the best Doctor Who, David Tennant and the comedian Jo Brand. (If you like it you can find the rest of the links on youtube)

I am going to be a member of the audience very, very soon!! That has made the whole computer thing seem like a distant horrible thing that happened in the past.

I am looking forward to that. Actually my immediate future is going to be much more brilliant and shiny. Last Monday EVER in York finished today and it felt like a brilliant relief. It's almost all over.

I recently finished listening to another talking book. (I do love my talking books)

I listened to the first one quite a while ago and I had this on my comp for ages before I got around to listening to it. I have to admit that it was much better then I thought it would be. Though since I am me of course I had problems with it. Namely why is Clary such a sap? Has anyone else noticed this trend? In YA supernatural fiction with a 'strong' female character you read a few pages and realise that she isn't as strong as we all hoped and that the strong character is the male love interest. The first one depressed me because Clary was an idiot. I thought that now that she knew she was a Shadowhunter and all she would train herself and kick some butt without needing to be saved. But alas that was not the case.

Jace was the strong badass (who I wish was real-I would love to fight with him) who was exactly who Clary should be. I do like his character developmentm, in fact Cassandra Clare developed them all really nicely. My favoourite character has to be Magnus Bane. In real life I think he would be the best friend I wished I had and would follow until he let me.

Anyone else out there who has read/listened the book, did you find the descriptive language getting slightly annoying after a while? If I have to read about/listen to Jace's lovely hotness or Simon's pale, anemic skin any more I think I will have to pull my eyes back out from the back of my head. At the begging it really set the atmosphere and all but I wanted to know what happened next RIGHT NOW and that just wasted time.

I am looking forward to the next and final part of the story. I do want Jace and Clary to get together, kill their father and live happily ever after (partly because I am rooting for them and partly because it will mean enough angsty angst angst). But I say I am rooting for Jace and Clary but the fact that they are brother and sister does creep me out slightly (not even half or step siblings but full ones). I know it happens in real life, more often then I ever suspected, but it still is very out of the box of ordinary things isn't it?

Till tomorrow!

xoxo
