London Comic Con

Jul 20, 2010 10:22

Well my day started off at 5.30 in the morning - I was so excited that I couldn't sleep. So by 7.45 I was on the tube on my way to Earls Court 2. I reached there by 8.45 managed to get in before the door opened (!!!), sign in for my press pass and begin my day!

First I met Lenora Crichlow and got an autograph:

Then I queued up for Russell Tovey (that picture was in my previous post). The event works in an unusual way - you queue up to tell the organisers whose autograph you want. Then you queue for a virtual ticket and then when your number is called you get to have whatever you want sighed. A photograph is included in the price, so by the time I went to Russell's table I had two - one signed by Lenora and one that I just took because I had paid for it and I put that one under the first, since I wanted all three of their autograph's on the same photo.

So Russell signed it and he saw the second photo and asked me if I wanted that one signed too. I said 'I'm sorry but I haven't paid for it'. The organiser was so thrilled that I told the truth, that Russell signed it anyway!

Then it was Aidan't turn! I would have gone to him first but he was half a day late.

My ticket number for him was 249. I queued in the 1-25 line and hoped no one would check. No one did.

Then the Being Human cast also did a Q&A session with the audience!

And then they moved on to Aidan's new project which neither Russell nor Lenora knew about:

But they weren't the only people I met at Comic Con!

Kristanna Loken from Terminator 3 was there

As were Edi Gathegi and Tyler Houseman from the Twilight movies:

And Davile Bailie from the Pirates movies!

It was such a great day. And obviously I took a whole load more pictures and I let a Mitchell/Annie community post all the ones they wanted. SO if you want to see more, visit Vamp and Ghost here and if you want to read a transcript of what the queastions and answers were, go here

And this was my present at the end of the day!

It was all in all, a surreal, extraordinary and completely brilliant event. I have never been to anything like this before and I am sooooo looking forward to next year's Comic Con which is going to be over 3 DAYS. THREE DAYS!!

Live long and prosper!
