BUFFY Vs. PANSY BOY EDWARD

HAPPY BIRTHDAY yellow_apple30!! I hope you have a great day!

Firstly, I just want to wish all fathers, HAPPY FATHERS DAY for yesterday. Even though I don't agree that we should celebrate our fathers only one day of the year, it is wonderful to treat my Dad without having to explain to him why he deserves to have money spent on him. We all went to a Lebanese restaurant yesterday in Stanmore which is owned and run very efficiently and well by an old teacher of Sister's and mine. And his girlfriend. Who also happened to be a teacher at our school even though they denied their relationship back then. My Dad met him in the gym and they became really good friends. It was horrific when Dad invited him for dinner one night. A teacher in my house?

He also came another time and my sister dropped lassi on his mobile. That was hilarious.

Anyway we went and of course he remembered us all and the good thing about that was that we all got lovely blue drinks on the house, plus had 50%  of our bill taken of. And the Labenese food was so delicious. Really mouth watering stuff. I want to go back! I love Labenese food. The parsley salad and the halummi (?) cheese were to die for. And the service was spectacular. I like it when staff ask regularly how things are going - it makes the whole tipping thing less of an annoyance and more of something that I actually want to do.

I also had a really long conversation with my Grandfather who was amazed that I am graduating this year. Family members can't believe my height and both his children were tall (my Ma is 5"7) so to him I will always be his little girl. Which I don't mind, not at all! I think he had a wonderful day yesterday as well, at least I hope he did.

Yesterday my Uncle came to visit us with his two sons. Now I don't really approve of my Uncle's actions in the past. He cheated on his wife, married the mistress (who was and still might be an exotic dancer), divorced the mistress and now spends most of his time travelling around the world partying. But he is my Uncle and family and my cousins are lovely. One is 15 and the other turned 12 on the 18th of June. Both of them are already about a foot taller than me. So it was fun when they came over and I commiserated over the fact that both their parents are on Facebook. The day mine join will be the day I leave. Not that they will. Social Networking is most definitely not for them (thankfully).

And then today Wimbledon started!! Federer, Sharapova and a whole host of others have already won their first round matches. I am still heartbroken with Nadal's injury and his absence. But I suppose now Murray actually has a chance to win.

And, as the title says what would happen if Buffy and Edward Cullen met? Would she go all Bella on us? Well in this brilliantly edited clip by Rebellious Pixels, Edward shows up at Sunnydale High and tries to put the moves on Buffy Summers, who isn't take in with his sparkletastic sparkly crap and shuts him down at every opportunity. Everything that is portrayed in Twilight as super romantic about The One and Only Sparkly Vampire is exposed as stalkerish and creepy, which made my day, as Sparkle boy's creepiness often gets a pass from those who brush aside his controlling, stalkerish ways as the sign of 'true love'. The best part has to be Buffy's response to Edward telling her that 'you're like my own personal brand of heroin'. WATCH IT!!

I have new love for Buffy.

And what about the new and improved Johnny Depp? This is him as the Mad Hatter:

And this is the Queen of Hearts:

And lastly, this is The White Queen:
