HAPPY MAY DAY!!! ♥ HAPPY BELTANE!!! ♥ I hope you all had a great day. I did, relatively speaking. It was still full of revision and cramping hands and after this break it will be again, but the sun is shining and it is really hard to be in a bad mood.

And since I finally figured out for to hyperlink stuff, I am going to give you all another linkspam, this one full of linktastic links. (Which will hopefully work).

"Everybody has a little mischief in them - I do. I like to live on the edge a little bit, and other times I think I'm boring and passive like everybody else. I've been working 15 months straight, so these days I feel like all I can do is have a day at work and then go to bed." - Ryan Reynolds.

Carol Ann Duffy first female Poet Laureate in 341 years. I am so thrilled about this. It is brilliant news that took ages in being made into reality. Also here and here
Perez Hilton forces NOM off YouTube, here

A new survey finds that the average woman washes her bras only six times per year. I had to read this one twice. What? Really? I wear my bras once and then they go straight into the washing basket. I thought everyone was like that??

Final Transformers 2 Trailer Is Online, here

Kenyan Women pull the old 'No Peace, No Sex' Gambit. Well, I never.

And this has to be the most 'I wish I had thought of that' story of the day. What would Hansel and Gretel do after they were kidnapped and almost eaten by a witch? Turn into bounty hunters of course!

Sean Penn has filed for divorce from Princess Buttercup here

Swine Flu is of course going to kill us all and take over the world, and apparently even the economy should fear for its life (whatever life is left) here

Book links!!

Fo all you lovely people out there who want to win free books. Sadly I do not live in the US so cannot enter these competitions, but if you do then you can!

Win Susane Colasanti's Waiting For You signed.

Win a signed copy of Lisa McMann's Fade.

Win an ARC of Peace, Love and Baby Ducks by Layren Myracle or an ARC of Tles of a Madman Underground by John Barnes.

For UK residents, check out Waterstones online where you can preview new fiction. I have won two ARCs from them and I live in hope that there will be more (but I will be writting about that more on Sunday, with the first Through My Letterbox of this journal).

Good luck all! I hope if you enter, you win! Books are always great. As soon as I find more contests I will be posting the links. Reading is brilliant and stingy as I am, I am not keeping that to myself :D
