Evil doers Beware, Shredding Blade is out to get you!

Apr 27, 2009 18:14

Not just Shredding Blade, The Talented Shredding Blade. Who by the way is me. Yes I have started to give myself strange names in an attempt to alleviate the mind numbing boredom that is revision.

Sadly, that is not true. I decided to have a little fun today by visintg The Hero Factory, found here: http://cpbintegrated.com/theherofactory/

On this addictive site, you can create your own superhero based on you. So I did and I present to you all

(I don't know whay it is so small, but if I try to enlarge it, it goes all blurry on me. So small it shall stay. And I think after doing this, my dream of becoming a Power Ranger might just come true. I still live in hope.)

You must all try it :D And while you do try it, I shall go and save the world! Evil villians, BEWARE. MWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA

*5 minutes later*

I am back. Saving the world is a lot harder than I thought it would be. And I think I am easily corruptable. I want to join the Dark Side. Must. Fight. Inner. Demons.

I sense a trilogy in that one sentence somewhere.

Anyhoo, today one 5000 word essay has been dusted and polished till it can sparkle no more. Cannot be bothered to make it any more sparkletastic and if I try my head might explode and I don't think that that is condusive to good health.

But I did find some lovely photos to share with you all. When the weather is hot and lovely and sultry and you just want to cool down, you might want to take a leaf out of this woman's book:

And I didn't know this until I read an article in The Economist, but India, the largest democracy in the world is going through an election at the moment. It is chaotic and complicated and very, very long winded, but when I see pictures like the one below, it makes it all right. This is democracy in action:

GUWAHATI, INDIA - APRIL 23: An Indian woman casts her vote at a polling station on April 23, 2009 in the Muslim dominated town of Mukalmua, near Guwahati, India. Around 200 million Indian voters are expected to cast their vote in the second phase of the world's largest democratic elections. Voting was conducted under tight security after Maoist rebels threatened attacks. At least 19 people were killed last week during the first phase of elections, some being election officials. The election has been staged over five phases due to the enormous number of voters and security requirements. The last phase of voting is to be conducted on May 13, the results of which are to follow a few days after. (Photo by Daniel Berehulak/Getty Images) (original image from www.jezebel.com)

Today I also started reading 'Lady Audley's Secret' by Mary Elizabeth Braddon. It is just...wow. As a rule I don't go for Victorian novels written by Victorians. (I freely admit that I do not enjoy any of the novels by Dickens), but this I wanted to give a go because the blurb mentioned 'murder, blackmail and bigamy'. What more could I want from a novel? I have only read about 50 pages so far and I am hooked. I also downloaded the audio version because I really prefer to listen to my books when I have so much work or revision to do, as I do right now. As soon as I finish it, I will be posting a review for the book.

The cover also made me want to pick it up. The picture I have posted of it isn't as dull as it is in real life but I couldn't find a better one!

xoxo
