Claude had initially resolved to illustrate the dangers of meddling with a demon to the impudent youth; rough him up and instill just enough fear into his senses -- but now? 'Ronald Knox' will be his primary entertainment for the evening.

His delinquent attitude got under his skin, in the most intoxicating manner. ]

It's improper to slouch over your meal, Mister Knox.

[ White-gloved fingers thread into the bi-colored hair and gently fist, coaxing him to right his posture in the finely crafted chair. He'd placed a savory meal before him moments before, and physical discomfort or not, a reaper required nutriment. ]

[He's not fighting because he needs to recover his strength. He's not fighting because the chair is more comfortable than the tile flooring. He's not fighting because he's almost sure lifting his hand on his own is going to cause more pain than it will offer resistance and really-- bugger that. If only the last few hours hadn't been spent being pummeled by a demon that was faster and smarter, Ronald might have been more eager to resist. Instead, without looking, the reaper is aware that underneath his jostled suit, his skin is a patchwork quilt of yellow and purple bruises.

He pants out his breath and finds himself barely resisting the hand holding him upright. Maybe because he can't. Five minutes-- five minutes to regain some energy and they'll start up round eighty-seven of this on-going war.]

-- I'm not going to eat anything you've prepared. [There is a thin trickle of blood coming down from his nose and he licks at his upper lip instinctively.]
