Bold the ones you have and use at least once a year, italicize the ones you have and don't use, strike through the ones you have had but got rid of.

I wonder how many pasta machines, breadmakers, juicers, blenders, deep fat fryers, egg boilers, melon ballers, sandwich makers, pastry brushes, cheese knives, electric woks, miniature salad spinners, ( Read more... )

From that list:

I don't have and don't want: breadmakers, juicers, deep fat fryers, egg boilers, melon ballers, sandwich makers, electric woks, griddle pans, jam funnels, egg poachers, margarita glasses, coffee grinders, milk frothers, piping bags, banana stands, tagine dishes, steam cookers, pressure cookers, slow cookers, gravy strainers, sukiyaki stoves, fondue sets

I use regularly: immersion blender/food processor, pastry brushes, cheese knives, full sized salad spinner, cake stands, garlic crushers, tea strainers, pizza stone, fluted pastry wheels, rice cookers, ice cream makers

I use occasionally: meat thermometers, filleting knives

I don't have, but might use if I had: bamboo steamers, conical strainers, spaetzle makers*, cookie presses, double boilers (bains marie)

Other things I use often that aren't on the list: silicon muffin cups, multiple sets of measuring cups, kitchen scales, pizza cutting scissors, old fashioned meat grinder, mortar and pestle, and probably lots more I am not thinking of.

*I sometimes make spaetzle without a maker, so it is reasonable to assume that if I had one I would use it

Yeah, they definitely miss out on multiple things. I mean, I actually bake angel food cake occasionally, so it's reasonable for me to have a tube pan. But why do I have TWO?

lol--in addition to more than one tube pan I also have two different castle shaped pans--one silicon and one aluminum. Use them both fairly often.

We have three of four waffle irons. But when we make waffles, we make *LOTS*.

And we have more than 50 dinner plates. And when we have a party we RUN OUT. (It might be up to 60 or 70 by now -- Corelle stacks really nice and small and whenever Valerie sees 'em at the thrift store she buys more.)
