ozarque pointed out the excellent linguistics news source Intranews, where I found this article on new research in early cognitive development. The article is completely vague about what sort of vital interactions they're talking about, leaving me a bit uneasy that we're back to the "frigid mothering" theory of autism, which I thought had been well debunked. We'll see what the ongoing research finds.
