[The small brunette hurries down the alley after the lost, and admittedly evil looking, alien. But its just a baby and how was she to know it would grow ten times it's size if she took it out for a walk?]
Here...boy? I think...
[If only the Doctor hadn't wandered off none of this would have happened.
She turns down an alley and sees a small blonde with a knife. Oh dear. Not great. The alien may be a baby, but its not entirely harmless.]
Erm, hello! Sorry. You can't come this way. There's a terrible...gas leak. I'm afraid you'll have to go around.
[Okay, great. Blonde with a knife is "looking for her lost dog". Clara sighs. Shit. She's probably UNIT. But she might also be a normal, non-aware of the alien world person.]
Oh, dear. Poor thing. If he's hurt, I have a Doctor who might be able to help him. But really, you should go. I can look for him. Dogs love me and I have a...gas mask. I wouldn't want you to get hurt.
[No way that is happening. Clara rises to her full 5'3" and puts on her best authoritative look. There is no way in hell she is letting this girl run into a seven-foot tall, shaggy alien.]
Look, I didn't want to scare you, but really there's a maniac on the loose. I'm part of Scotland Yard and you really are not helping my investigation, so if you could just pop off, I will keep an eye out for your-
[The anguished cry of the poor, teething creature echoes through the alley.]
Stay here!
[Clara takes off down the alley. She will deal with explaining the alien thing later.]
[Clara wasn't expecting that and, although she can hold her own when carrying a very large gun against Cybermen, she's not exactly a combat expert. She considers fighting back, but the throbbing in her head suggests that'd be a horrible idea. Plus, this girl is definitely after the poor thing and the Doctor will definitely not be pleased if some tiny, blonde maniac kills it. And neither will she, for that matter. She shifts slightly trying to get the girl's arm off her neck, but can't. The blonde's much, much stronger than she looks.]
I'm Clara Oswald. I'm meant to be taking care of that "thing", which is really just a baby and doesn't mean any harm. Now will you let me go so I can stop it from causing any more trouble?
