It had been an entire year. Very little time in their eyes, but a tortuous amount of time to be apart. There was not a single day when she didn't think of him; think of him and look lovingly at the ring on her finger. She would never give up hope. They would find each other.

The last year has been so hard on Jackson. It just keeps nagging at him that it's one less year he'll be able to spend with her but he pushes those thoughts away as he walks across the room to her. He's not running or anything, simply heading over to his wife. The reason he'd gone away was one he regretted. The choice to rejoin the military to fight a war against the typical dark Lord seemed right when he did it but just two months in he realized it wasn't what he should have done.

Finally reaching her he takes her hand in his. "Dox..." His voice is soft and low. "I've missed you, my love."

A wide smile passes across her face as she sees him, she can keep calm. Though she would rather jump into his arms and snog him. She lets go of his hands to pull him into a hug.

"I've missed you so much!"

She nuzzles against him, breathing deep. She missed the feel of him, the smell of him.
