Sarah had stepped into the elevator, politely smiling at the other occupant before slipping into typical elevator etiquette of standing silently side by side. She would have stayed that way the entire ride if the elevator hadn't jerked to a sudden stop between the tenth and eleventh floor. "Shit", Sarah yelped when the sudden jerk caused her to lose her footing and smack into the wall. "What the hell happened?"
As soon as the question was out of her mouth, Sarah realized how stupid it was. How would the stranger beside her know anymore than Sarah herself knew? "We're stuck, aren't we?"
The elevator lurched to a stop and with it Dany's stomach. Her hands grasped at the bar behind her like it would in someway offer safety should the damn thing decide to plummet. She stayed perfectly still and cemetery quiet for a moment until it was obvious it wasn't going to start back up right away.
"No..." She whimpered and risked moving to the box so she could push buttons. She'd been keenly aware of the man's presence before they were stuck but now that they were trapped, it took a minute for her to remember she wasn't alone.
"Isn't there usually an intercom or something on these things?"
*With a nod, she held her breath and waited to see if it really was just stalled. Each passing moment ticked at an eternal rate. It was going so slow Dany was sure that it was going to start moving backwards. Maybe they would be the first to discover time travel.*
Maybe we can go back before we even got on. *She mused to herself as another minute crept by. Patience really was not her virtue especially in confined places. Dany tried not to fidget but she really was starting to get anxious. Button mashing and yelling for help were next on the agenda.*
Miguel should have taken the stairs. He thought so the minute he stepped inside the large metal box. It had reminded him of his former cell in solitary, except it was even smaller. The thing was, he had been in a hurry. Impatience had won over his gut instinct and now Miguel was going to have to pay for not trusting his instincts once again. "Shiiit", he groaned as the elevator halted. It was pointless to press the button but Miguel did so anyway with the vain hope that maybe, just maybe, the elevator would magically start moving again.
Sadly, Miguel's luck wasn't that good. He groaned again and resisted the urge to kick the wall. It wouldn't do any good anyhow and Miguel wasn't alone in the elevator. At least that was something. The only thing worse than being trapped in a small space was being trapped alone as Miguel knew all too well. "Hey, you ain't got a cell phone do ya? Looks like we're going need some help getting outta here".
*She falls back against the wall when the box stops to abruptly. Regathering herself just in time to have the man she's stuck with kick the wall beside her. She takes a breath. Looks at him. Covers with a more pleasant expression.*
Yes, just one moment. *She reaches into her purse. Looks in for her phone before throwing another glance upward towards him.*

Hey, lady, you got any fish?
[He can use the laugh at her freakign out. At least, that's what he expects her to do. Salem should know by now his life is rarely that simple.]
