[It's all but unknown for Jude to outwardly panic, but he's under rather a sinking feeling, having managed to get a flat tyre a couple of houses down from his father's church. No emergency, except those additional fresh dents from a coupla surfboards jiggling on a homemade roof rack. The old man's gonna hit the wall.
He's out in the street, resting his forehead on the cool metal of stalled car. He's... also a stringbean, and just not strong enough to push the beast as far as it needs to go.]
It's great. ^^callmericAugust 23 2012, 21:47:56 UTC
Alaric's driving home after a long day at the school. It's always hard the first few weeks since no one wants to be there. He's just turned onto a residential street when he notices the car and the young man sitting by it. With a furrowed brow, he slows his SUV, and rolls down the window before sticking his head out.
"Well, not really." He draws back enough to squint at the SUV, fingers pausing their rolling. To add insult, they're not even his surfboards. He doesn't surf - or not that you'd want to watch. Some prat must've asked if he'd store them while he was high. He's got a weird convoluted code of humour which involves keeping promises made while out of it -- as long as they're not too ridiculous or harmful.
"See, my car's in the middle of the street, and I don't have the upper body strength to shove it back where it needs, you know. Or the lower body strength. Or... strength in general, kinda thing."

( making tony hurt/injured, has always been my favorite.
Also, broken gadgets, smashed technology, ruined remodeling of a whole room or anything that makes tony want to pull out his hair, is pure love~ Who would've known the life of a playboy and billionaire was so stressful?~ )
Anna [Bobby's voice was filled with worry; he knew one of them would end up slipping when they decided to walk across the lake. Bobby was used to being on ice, so he sometimes forgot it probably felt a lot slipper to other people] Are you alright?
Emily knows becoming a doctor isn't going to be easy. Well, she's already a doctor but has the task of getting though her residency first. It's tough at times, especially when other doctors are barking orders, and telling her that she's doing everything wrong. That, coupled with a several lack of sleep, has her hiding in one of the exam rooms, her face buried against her knees as she cries. Maybe this isn't her thing; maybe she should to back to being just a nurse, or enlist in the Air Force again.
Wren's just finished seeing a patient and is trying to fill out a form and walk at the same time, with less than stellar results. The exam room he passes is just barely cracked open, and he briefly hears the sound of a sob, which has him looking up. He closes the file and knocks, pushing the door open a few more inches so he can see inside, expecting to see a waiting patient, but instead seeing one of their familiar white jackets.
"Emily?" He doesn't know her beyond her name and the fact that she's completing a residency here, and he certainly doesn't know why she's crying, though he hopes she hasn't been injured. He takes a step inside, concern on his face. "What's happened?"

Well, that doesn't look good. At all.
"You look like you could use a hand there, dear."

She'd been sure she still had her ice-legs from all that time she spent up north. Apparently, she was dead wrong. Use it or lose it.
She offers a tight-lipped smile, blushing furiously. Starts to push herself upward.] Yeah, I'm fi--
[And stops with a sharp wince as soon as she puts some weight onto her ankle. Grimaces, takes a few deep breaths.]
Y'know what? I might need a minute.
