[It was just a broken glass. That's what she had to keep telling herself. Of course, the glass cut her badly as Brandon yelled at her. He was clearly intoxicated, as usual, but he had never gotten this angry in front of her. She was scared, which caused her to drop the glass and for it to shatter in the first place. His raised voice frightened her like no other. She decided it was best to just leave him and let the disaster blow over.
The next day she showed up as his place, timidly knocking on the door. She was ready to apologize, even though there was fault from each of them. He answered the door and she immediately spoke.] I'm - sorry. Sorry for breaking the glass, for leaving, for... everything.
[Brandon had sat up the whole night after she left, regretting everything. He regretted yelling at her, causing the frightened look on her face, and the cut.. He hadn't directly harmed her but he felt as if he had. It was a wonder they were still together. He didn't know why or how she put up with him. Yet Brandon couldn't leave, he cared about her too much.
He heard the knock on the door in his sleep. Sometime when the sun had begun to rise he had dozed off. Getting up he ran a hand through his disheveled hair and opened it. He was surprised to see her standing there.]
Tatiana.. [Was all he got out before she started to apologize. Sighing he grabbed her hand and pulled her inside, pulled her into his arms.]
No, no.. I should be the one saying I'm sorry.. I.. [He had to stop before he got choked up. It always seemed as if Brandon was constantly hurting the ones who cared for him the most.]
Please... don't. [Her hands rested on the small of his back and her head against his chest. She was relaxed and her guard was let down.] It's not at all a big deal. It's forgotten.
