That one time they made out. :||| Date-13. Outcome... I mean. Do I have to tell you.piquedbutlerJuly 16 2012, 02:38:23 UTC
They're not Anything. They will never be Anything. There's not a Thing they could be Any of, not remotely, not even a little.
But they've got little Marks on each other from teeth and nails and the rough bruising of being thrown against stone, so. That's not so much a Thing as...
He's not sure. But he's telling Sean to step aside for a moment and he's bringing Lasandra Adare a pot of tea Himself. As an Acknowledgement, perhaps. As a Gesture, coming to her Castle and her Space and her Schedule of having Tea.
Being in the same space as her for a meal with half the intention of throwing her against a wall. You know. Sort of like what the kids call A Date.
That one Time. :|heart_the_artJuly 16 2012, 23:24:48 UTC
Of course they're not Anything. They're so not Anything it's ridiculous to use capitals. They're not anything.
She can hide some of the marks, she's bought matching scarves long ago and recently she's been wearing them more. Which is always a sign of something. But only something and not Something.
Sandy is her office. It's still new, it's still not hers despite the name on the door. She's going over the supplies they have at Heart Castle, the linen, the schedules, the details she never noticed before.
So she assumes it is Sean when she hears the door open. One more glance, one more thought on how it all could be streamlined-
Henceforth referred to in horrible memes as TOT-verse if you don't stop me. :|piquedbutlerJuly 17 2012, 16:50:54 UTC
And she'll Kindly Refrain from ever attempting to Tell Him what to think of with or without the use of Capital Letters, clearly.
She's clearly not Expecting him. Which, really, is quite Right of her. There's no reason for him to be here. There's no good strong logic beyond the odd compulsion. Like, perhaps, people who make their one-night-stands a plate of toast in the morning because they hadn't had the Decency to buy them dinner the night before.
Her confusion hardly means he has to look up from preparing her cup. "Mistress Six. Sugar?"
I named a mini verse. /all the strong Feelsheart_the_artJuly 18 2012, 01:28:10 UTC
She only agrees they are not anything, it will be the only time she would disagree enough with a Capital to feel the need to speak of it.
Absolutely not, he shouldn't be here. It's the Hearts, it's touchy and feely and gooey. Though she's not entirely unfamiliar with the leaving of breakfast. She attempted it. Once.
So apparently, this means he has to make her tea?
"Uh. Sure. Three lumps. ... You do know this is Heart Castle." She winces, not a kind thing to say. "Of course you know but... you're here?" The funny thing is she isn't sure the heart is racing because she's afraid the sugar is mixed with something else or ... something else.
And this took forever. /o\heart_the_artJuly 22 2012, 03:54:02 UTC
"They say it's one of my better qualities. I totally don't see it." Is she being sarcastic? It's hard to tell. "That's... very thoughtful of you, Master Butler."
She carefully takes the cup, not sure if it will bite her or if the sugar is arsenic. But she sips it anyway. And never tell Sean it's better.
But damned if she doesn't choke on the sip. "... have you now? What did I do this time?"
Sandy does not know these things. For most of her life, she's lived on the Outside where the Butler always does It. Then in Town, and now in the Castle. She's learning, okay?
It's a shame, those cookies look so good.
She finds that she's gone back to the habit of nerves of playing with something between her fingers. This time? One of those nice pens. "I'm.. fine? I don't."
Color drains and then she flushes. "Is this about... about... not too long ago?"
One thing that's universal to butlers Inside and Outside the Deck, of course, is that they Read Faces, Body Language, and Tone like it's all large print. So by the time Sandy's fumbling with her words about Why he's here?
His brow's already arched up nearly to his pale, neat hair.
She should know this. There's a Butler she's working with closely now to keep the Castle and those who take care of the Castle happy and satisfied and making the whole place look lovely.
"There are other things, you know." She carefully drinks her tea, eyes on him. "Things I should apologize for..."
She also hugged him. Trailed glitter. And stole things from the late Jack, the Nine, and the Eight. And then they had sex in the closet.

And it takes a moment to fully flesh out the thought, his attention focused in quietly on his own fingers.
"I'm-- here for you, Miss."

Just the cookies on the plate beside. Not this time, but. You know. As a General Rule.
Up shoots a brow as his head cants to the side. "Nothing, Miss Seven. I'm only here to check on you."
