[Jane is not a frequent visitor to London. She's been there a couple of times for conferences, but they had guides and instructions and cars that took them from the hotel to meetings and back. This is the first time she's been on her own.
Which is why she's sticking to friendly-looking community parks with her ice cream cone, hoping it doesn't melt in the heat before she finishes eating.]
[If Jane is paying attention to where she's walking, like she should be, she'd probably notice a blue police box, right in the middle of the trail, blocking her way. Her occupant is busy inside, picking out the right ice-cream eating hat.]
[Is there a proper hat for eating ice cream in? What are the parameters for making such an obviously important choice?
Jane pays attention more often than not, it's only this particular day because of the heat, and the fact that her cone is absolutely delicious, that she manages to graze the box with a shoulder while walking past.
It's very solid. She blinks, walks around the perimeter until she finds the front, and spends a minute trying to read the little instructions sign.]
