Delicious tl;dr. How do you do this to me?nottheworsthingJune 14 2012, 19:52:09 UTC
[Every part of him is screaming to back off, to back down, to put an end to this before it gets even further out of hand than it already is. But he can't. That's the simple truth of it. Over the last few years he's learned a lot about what he is and isn't willing to do, what he can and can't live with. And here and now he can't back down. He doesn't have it in him. Maybe it's arrogance, maybe it's sheer bloody-minded stupidity, but the plain fact of the matter is that he'd sooner die than show any vulnerability in front of someone he perceives as a threat.
It should be stated, in the interests of fairness, that there is always logic behind Tony's actions. Said logic may well surreal, impossible to follow, and at times just straight-up insane, but it is present nonetheless.
And sometimes said logic leads to him ending up flush against the lean form of everyone's favorite supervillain, being pulled into an unexpectedly gentle kiss. And yeah, okay maybe that reputation really is justified. It's good- he wants to say despite, but if he's entirely honestly it's mostly because of the edge of danger, the adrenaline singing in his veins. Not that the technique in general is in any way lacking. But Tony's never exactly been coy about the fact that he does kinda get off on risking his life.
Either way, he's sure as hell not going to let himself be shown up. He's got a reputation to maintain here, and he's not lacking in experience or technique himself. He can give as good as he gets thank you so very much. So he'll just be leaning up into the kiss, tilting his head for a better angle and pressing closer until there's not so much as a hair's breadth between them, hands coming to rest at Loki's hips. His breath catches ever so slightly at the feel of that cool touch on his bare skin. What even is this crazy game of chicken?]

[Supervillain, bite your tongue -- Loki is the anti-hero, the Trickster. He's a catalyst for change, a sometimes humorous, sometimes violent force for adaptation and growth, a whimsically dangerous test of wit and survival; he's the one who offers you the choice, red pill or blue pill, and then watches you with keen interest as you go tumbling down the rabbit hole of his own devising. Villain? No, not Loki Silvertongue, no villain he --
But dangerous, oh yes -- Loki is most indisputably that.
More now, the kiss deepening as Tony responds, and as he presses forward Loki molds himself against him, sinuous and sensual, his swaying a bit into Tony's touch. His hands begin to move, exploring the warm skin of Tony's back, sliding over the strong muscles he's honed in his modern-day forge. Would he break, would be pull back and stop the game, this Iron Man -- or would his stubborness and pride carry him through to a proper bedding? Loki finds himself hoping the latter, though he isn't sure if it's out of pride or out of desire, or out of a strange melding of the two]
[By this stage he's basically accepted that this is happening; there's no way he's backing down now. He's even pretty much over the 'how the fuck is this my life'. He mostly just hopes in all ends in sex rather than attempted murder. His hands wander off to do some exploring of their own, following the lean lines of whipcord muscle.
So yeah, apparently this is happening, and he figures that if it's happening either way then he might as well have some fun with it. And from early indications it looks like it's going to be good. Assuming, of course, that it ends with him alive and possessed of the same number of body parts he started with, but he's actually feeling strangely optimistic about that.
And if he's wrong...well, fuck it, he's always wanted Death By Sex on his gravestone]
[Loki pulls back, a small, sly smile on his face, and he looks at Tony for a moment, hands still moving on Tony's skin, and with a soft chuckle his hands close on the thin material of Tony's shirt, giving it a good solid yank and ripping it over Tony's head. He leans in, mouth on Tony's neck, rubbing up against all that delicious warm skin.]
