He's old. That's all there is to it. He's old and the body he's always taken such care of is finally failing him. He's only got a few weeks left, that's what the doctor's say, but... his brother's right. It is alright.
"No, Finn, please..." Kurt sighs, struggles just to lift a hand to reach for his brother's.
"I'm an old man. I'm out of time. My body's tired and aching. Perhaps if I'd played football at school, I'd still be going strong like you, but... I have no regrets. I've done everything I set out to do.
And you don't need me. You'll carry on. Just promise me... you'll keep an eye on Blaine?"
"Kurt" he looked down, tears freely flowing down his face. "Kurt, I need more time. I can't loose you. Blaine can't" he whispered kissing Kurt's hand. "You're not Old, you're Vintage"
Kurt managed to laugh at that, before turning serious again.
"Finn, please. You've been... the best brother. I need you to be the best brother-in-law, now. The best Uncle. You're as strong as anything, they won't lose you so soon."
"Kurt-" he sighed and stroked his cheek "-You shouldn't worry. It's you that's going to be missed" he said softly fighting back another wave of tears. "Do- do you want me to fetch Blaine?"

"I'd like to think I'll at least get a moderate rise in demand."
