So I watched Storm Stories yesterday. GROSS. SOBBING. alkdfjhajkmojofreeApril 5 2012, 14:39:28 UTC
Probably. Poor little guy.
[New tub complete with jets needs to be a thing. There's no question, even if the tornado does rip their roof off, at least they'll have a nice bath to look forward to... Among other bathtub activities. And hey, if the place is demolished, they'll have an excuse. Silver lining.
He hums softly as that arm tightens around his waist, hand dropping to rest automatically atop Dean's. Relax, yeah, he'll get right on that. Just as soon as the hail and insane wind stop and the threat of imminent death passes. Sighing, he tips his head back against Dean's chest again, lets his heartbeat- which he notes is quicker than usual- serve as a sort of soothing rhythm, a balm against the furiously pounding hail and howling wind.]
Mm. Is this normal for the area?
[Tornados had been the furthest thing from anyone's mind where he's from; it's just not something he'd had to think about. He wonders if it's just the season or if this is a regular worry here... He supposes it would have been a good idea to look into these things before settling somewhere, but... He's glad he hadn't, for a very obvious reason.
He squints at the sudden burst of light, and he doesn't even need to question who it is that Dean's calling. Hopefully he'll get through this time.]
I have no idea what that is, but it sounds intense.alifeordinaryApril 10 2012, 09:17:54 UTC
[He does feel a little better as Cas leans into him. He's a physical creature by nature, so Cas's head against his chest is reaffirming and calming. Evidently Cold agrees, because the whining has quieted to just the occasional frightened whimper. It would almost be nice if it weren't for the hail, the tub digging into his knees, and the worry about Sam.
The phone rings, rings, rings, and he shakes his head at Cas's question.]
Not usually. You're bad luck, man. I still blame you for that time we got snowed in, and that time- Sam?
[He jerked upright, letting go of Cas's waist to push a finger into his free ear- as though it would possibly help. The storm's practically sucking out the signal, and wherever Sam is doesn't seem too much better. He can only get a few snatches. "-Ean.... oo- 'ear me? Ca-... obby's."]
Sam? Sam- hey- I can barely hear you, man, where the hell are you I've been calling-
[He gets a few more flickers of signal, enough to discern that he made it to the panic room at Bobby's, and evidently took Ruby with him. Shame, he was hoping the wicked witch would get crushed by a house or something. Still, at least Sam's okay. He hangs up the phone with a snap and leans back, head thumping tiredly against the wall behind him.]
It's a show about natural disasters ahahhaa it was a tornado episode XD appropriatemojofreeApril 11 2012, 02:37:04 UTC
[There's a snort of protest and Cas is about to make some comment about how every time shitty weather hits he's with Dean, but he hears that crackly voice on the other end of the phone and quiets immediately. Sam on the phone during a possible roof-ripping tornado? One of the few things that will actually kill snark dead.
He doesn't listen in, but considering Dean's not hopping up out of the tub to go stage a rescue, he thinks he can be pretty sure that Sam's made it to Bobby's. Just in case, though:]
He make it over there?
[He doesn't hear that thump, can't over the hail and the wind, but he does feel Dean's body relax just slightly. It's a relief, a sorely needed relief in the middle of the chaos outside.
Huh. Cas wonders if his family knows where he is, if they know what's going on here and if they're worried, if they even care at all. He doubts it.
...Fuck 'em. Because it's that easy, right? He reaches forward a bit, lets his hands palm over Colt's head, fingers stroking against his puppy-soft ears.]
Watching those shows is like watching car crashes. You just can't turn away.alifeordinaryApril 12 2012, 01:48:19 UTC
[He wouldn't have a problem with Cas listening in- hell, they're in a cramped tub in a darkened bathroom in the middle of a tornado, eavesdropping is the least of his worries. He stuffs the phone back in his pocket, though, and nods before he realizes Cas can't see him.]
Apparently like four hours ago. Asshole doesn't know how to use a goddamn phone apparently.
[It's lacking in anger, though. Hard to be pissed when he's so relieved Sam isn't passed out on a mattress in the middle of the freaking storm or something. It's getting louder, the wind picking up to scary levels, and every crack or bump makes his mind jump to oh fuck the roof is going next. So far, though, from what he can hear, their building seems mostly untouched, thank god for small miracles.]
for real dude, I eat that shit up. ..shows, not car accidentsmojofreeApril 13 2012, 02:01:12 UTC
[Yeah, the possibility of being picked up and sent to Oz is probably a more pressing concern than Cas hearing some static, huh?]
At least he's okay. And everyone else is there?
[Bobby, Ellen, Jo... He can't imagine Sam would just leave Ruby to die- as much as he's sure Dean wishes he would- Cas is pretty sure she's gotta be there too, and there's a moment of silence for everyone in that panic room. Aside from the whole Sam situation, and despite the fact that he's only actually met her once, Cas really just... Does not like her at all. There's something about the way she carries herself, the way she drags everyone down and something else that he can't place that just rubs him the wrong way. It's like she has this miasma of shit that follows her around. Totally harshed Cas's chill...
Though it's possible it'd been the fact that she'd made Dean so miserable that had been the real issue. Can't be sure, but either way, Cas has no love for Ruby.
...Also, no love for that crazy wind that sounds like it's just gonna blow the place right over. Man, how do people live here and not die from the stress? Unless they're all roofers, that'd be like Christmas every time it rained. Or something. There's an exceptionally loud bang (and answering whimper from Colt) and Cas shifts slightly, leaning back into Dean and sliding down a bit so that Cold can crawl up his chest if he so chooses.

Always nice to have options.]
