15 and possibly both of them? also notifs are not showing up :(ihearyouthinkFebruary 10 2012, 15:59:53 UTC
Charles pounded as best as he could on the door. He wasn't sure what scared him more, the fact that he had no recollection of how he got into this padded room...or the fact he was IN the padded room to begin with.
An orderly finally comes in answer to his calls but his replies don't help. An insane asylum?? How long had he....a WEEK?? No, no he had to get out of here.
Nobody was listening to him, he was a crazy person who heard voices. The door is shut again. Charles sits down on the padded floor in frustration, reaching out with his mind. He feels weaker somehow, not able to influence anyone he comes across. At least he can still hear them.
I noticed. Stupid LJ. *huggles*lookforcreatorFebruary 10 2012, 18:44:14 UTC
Something about this place... he didn't remember coming here. Didn't remember how... Though that didn't matter at the moment. What did was the fact that his mind was wide open and he didn't like that. Just as he didn't like the fact that there was no metal in the room.
Reaching out to any metal available he scowls not liking that it wasn't there. That he couldn't feel it. That's when he felt that weak mind against his own. ...What?

Erik?!
Charles about plasters himself against one of the walls, trying to get closer. He closes his eyes tight, he can only just reach him. Why were his abilities so muted like this?? It didn't make any sense.

That has him jolting up a bit so he's sitting up. We're sure the orderlies like him. He didn't make any type of noise... no sound. Then again that could be dangerous too but he's dealt with Shaw...
A room filled with plastic.
His thought voice was full of venom at the very prospect. It was like these people knew what they were or who they were and he didn't like it. Maybe if he tried harder he could feel the metal there. Maybe...
Charles sighs, sagging to sit against the soft plushy wall.
I don't feel quite up to snuff...it's bad enough I can't remember being here for a WEEK. Which is what he was told. Whether that was true or not...
I'm in a padded room, I suppose they figure I'm crazy. He can't quite repress a chuckle at that, he was feeling a little off kilter to begin with by these unfamiliar surroundings. Who knows, maybe they're right?
What's around you, Charles? Other than white pads.
Erik's probably straining himself a bit as he reaches out for anything metal. Something that they might of missed. What with all this plastic he's not so sure. It hurts and that pain seeps through...
I'm going to do whatever I can in order to get us out of here.
Even if that did mean causing himself pain. His pain was nothing to him right now. Charles was what mattered.
I can be sure. I know you and they don't."
[ooc: Y'know it'd suck if they did something to Erik so he heard the minds that Charles did. Or gave each of them a little of the other's powers somehow.]
[ooc: hm, not sure why they would try such a thing...I was presuming this was to try and convince the two of them that they were insane. Which I'm sure a few days and Charles will be properly convinced.]
I'm ok....don't hurt yourself, ok? Ok. He should stop saying ok.
The orderly was back, bearing a significant white jacket with straps on it. Uh oh.
That just has Erik trying that much harder to find something anything he can pull apart. Though doing so also keeps his mind off the fact that his own door is opening. At least keeps his mind off of it till the door gives a resounding thud as it closes leaving him alone with an orderly of his own.
[ooc: Really all depends on who they're working for. lol And if they can make it seem like they have each others powers they probably would think they're crazy. *huggles and pets Charles*]
[ooc: well...if we've both got ideas how to make our characters go crazy, maybe we should use both? They make Erik think he's a telepath and Charles think that he's just plain crazy because he can't remember anything.]
Charles doesn't answer back, he's busy talking with the orderly who is strapping him in. "Is this really necessary?" Trying to be as calm as NOT insane as possible. But no, it was necessary, apparently they wouldn't let him out without it because of what happened last time.
What happened last time? Oh, they weren't allowed to talk about that, it might cause another episode. Charles is soon neatly strapped into the straight jacket, feeling utterly ridiculous as he's put into a wheelchair and pushed out into the asylum. The voices are louder out here and he looks very uncomfortable in more ways than one.
He needed to hear the telepath. Even as he was grabbed by the orderly. Something about needing to take care of his problem. "What problem is that?" He doesn't get an answer though and he could swear he hears something that he shouldn't. That the orderly doesn't hear or...
"...What?"
Its growled out even as he tries to reach out to the metal again. He's still not finding anything. That's when the second orderly comes in the one before him going on about how he's having a hard time.
He can barely hear Erik over the other minds, feeling like he was trapped in some kind of bizarre maze.
...this is....really uncomfortable...
There's a few stray images of Charles sitting in the chair with the jacket on along with extra thoughts he can't filter out. Sorry for the jumbled mess, Erik.
That's fine... he'd rather hear Charles' jumbled mess over whatever in the hell he's hearing right now. Something that he's not even sure about. The fact that they have Charles in a straight jacket...
There are voices in his head that's he is pretty sure aren't his own. Though he doesn't know who they belong to. He can hear the orderlies beside him talking but their mouths aren't moving.
Charles...
It might sound a bit worried. Maybe. Or it could be their imagination.

You are NOT crazy, Charles Xavier.

Charles winces, sensing his friend's pain. Don't strain yourself...we'll find a way out. Trying very hard not to add "I hope" onto that.
Maybe that's what's gnawing at his sanity. The proximity of minds that are NOT sane. One can never be sure.
