[Let's face it - Will gets abused on a fairly regular basis by the abnormals they try to help. He's been thrown against walls, hit, and spit on. But this time, it's not the abnormals leaving the bruises. A call to the Fifth Ward led to being attacked by a gang of people who obviously hate what the Sanctuary does. As they kick and hit him, Will does his best to protect himself from the blows. By the time they're finished, his face is bloodied, his nose is broken and his body is full of bruises and cuts.
How he makes it home is beyond him, and when he gets back be sees Magnus is gone so he goes to find AJ. Maybe she isn't a doctor but he can guide her through getting him patched up until his boss returns.
Stepping inside the room, he gives her a sheepish look.]
[And those types of encounters, although sometimes scary, AJ can deal with. A band-aid here, a teasing little kiss on a scrape there, that's not so bad.
So, when Will steps into the room, and she looks up, she is definitely not expecting the sight that meets her eyes. With a loud, shocked gasp, she stands, and tries to hurry to him, her big belly slowing her down considerably.]
Oh, my God! What happened? Are you okay? You need to sit, or lay or s - something, you can't stand much longer!
I'm sure AJ will make him better~sanctuarypsychFebruary 11 2012, 05:27:37 UTC
[Will doesn't want to worry her, but he has no other choice in the matter. He gives her a weak smile, wanting to tell a joke, but he stops when she's suddenly rushing over to him.]
AJ, no. Sit back down. I can walk. I just need you to help clean my wounds.
[The worse of his injures is the broken nose, which will heal. He just needs her to sit down because something happens to the baby.] Sit down, and I'll get the first aid kit, okay?
She'll certainly do her bestthislastrequestFebruary 11 2012, 06:39:13 UTC
[Too late - AJ is undeniably worried. She's even a bit annoyed when he tells her to sit. Sure, she's the size of a house, and can barely move at this point, but he needs her, and she will be there.]
Will. I'm perfectly capable of getting it myself. It might ... take a while, but ... if you don't have to walk, you shouldn't.
[He lets out a defeated sigh, knowing he shouldn't argue with her. He goes over to the bed, and sits down while trying his best to not drip blood on their blankets.]
Okay, fine. I'll sit here and wait.
[As she goes to get the first aid kit, Will lifts his shirt up, and takes it off. His upper torso is covered in scratches and bruises, but nothing that won't heal in a few days. He then closes his eyes and takes a few deep breaths. Will's grateful they didn't hit his head too hard since he never liked having concussions.]
[They're easily washed, even if he does. She's not worried about that in this moment, anyway. It takes a few minutes, but she's moving as fast as she can, perhaps breathing a bit hard by the time she comes back.]
My nose. There should be some cotton plugs in there. [The first aid kit isn't the kind someone can buy at the store. It has high powered medicines, along with a few medical tools inside it. Since they never go to a regular hospital, they keep such things handy since accidents can happen anywhere.]
Will. [She opens the box, and looks through it, handing the cotton over, sitting with a heavy sigh] Is anything other than your nose broken? 'Cause I can't help with that ... I don't have the training.
[He takes the cotton from her, and unwraps it. Will rolls them to get them ready and shakes his head.] Just my nose. But, you have to help me clean the blood off before I can put these in.
[AJ hates the sight of blood. But she can't wimp out now - she's going to do her best to power through it, and give Will all the help she can. She's already got the sterile alcohol pad open, and she nods slightly.] This might burn a little ... [She grimaces, gently wiping the pad over his nose, hoping she's not hurting him any more than he already was.]
[Will's had a broken nose before and always hates it when it needs to be cleaned. He tries his best not to jump, and pull back when she starts cleaning the blood off. Closing his eyes, he takes a deep breath and tries his best to calm himself.]
[She tries to hurry and keep the contact as short as possible - she's never had a broken nose, but she remembers that not too long ago, her own leg was broken, and how much it hurt when there was too much contact placed upon it. Done, she sighs, and pulls away, inspecting the damage.] It doesn't look awful, at least.
[When she finally finishes, Will takes a deep breath and gently puts the cotton plug in his nose.] Thank you. Now I need something for the pain. [He reaches in and takes out a small bottle of pain pills.] Remind me not to go out alone anymore.
[She's already got a bottle of water sitting nearby, and she hands it to him so he doesn't have to swallow the pills dry.] As if I'm going to let you go out alone after this. Oh ... Will. Y'need to lie down, please?
[He gives her a grateful look and takes the water so bs can wash down the pills. Once he has, he slowly nods before toeing off his shoes, and moving to lie back on the bed.] I'm sorry. I had no idea this would happen.
