But Aeronwy? Isn't certain she's coming out of the back of the church. Not when she can hide here, tense and uncertain, on the edge of terrified, staring at herself in the mirror.
She's not showing yet. Not really. Maybe just a little if a person's really looking for it.]
[There's a tapping at the door, and Santeri's voice coming through.] Aeronwy, Malin assures me that I shouldn't be seeing you until you walk up that aisle, but given that we're about to start and you're not ready, I thought that ought to be ignored. May I come in?
[It takes a moment to properly register, sift through the confusion and nerves, before she moves to unlatch the door. She doesn't actually open it fully, but the light click, the slight movement, is more than she's allowed others.
[He offers her a smile, seeing the sliver of her face.] You're well within your rights to not go through with this, of course. [But he'd certainly like to marry her.]
[She wants to believe that. Is working to believe that. Believes it more when he smiles at her.
Tugging the door open properly to let him in means she can move back to the mirror. Neither of them have to do this. But her fingers fidget at the loose fabric over her stomach and she can't breathe thinking that she loves him and she already loves this baby and there's a church full of people holding a gun to both their backs no matter what either of them feel.]
[He moves to press a kiss to her forehead, twine his fingers with hers over her stomach.] You look lovely, armas. Were you worrying about that? You needn't have.
[He squeezes her hand, wrapping his other arm around her as he fits his chest to her back.] We can postpone this until you feel better. This afternoon, tomorrow, next week. Or even after the baby comes.

He shouldn't be pushing her against the wall, his mouth hot on hers. He should be keeping proper, professional distance between them. She only ever ends up pissing him off, anyway.
But for the moment, it seems like a much better idea to ignore what he should do and just do what seems pleasing. And then perhaps he won't want it anymore.
Is that a challenge. Because I can take it as one. :|ishineonJanuary 30 2012, 15:30:47 UTC
Maybe he won't want it any more because she's bunching his collar in her fist, using it as leverage to push him away. Her eyes are hard on his, her lips plump from being kissed. Her fingers are still tight in his collar just as his are on her shoulders. "Did you really think that was a good idea?"
There's the slightest hesitation in her speech, barely noticeable only if he's paying attention. "I shouldn't want you to be mistaken about what I think." And a hard shove away, though she remains against the wall.
Of course he's paying attention. She has quite a lot of his attention at the moment. "Oh no," he says, closing the distance between them again, tangling his fingers in her hair, "that would be such a tragedy."
He tightens his fingers against her scalp, tugging her head back to bare her throat as she pulls at his wrist. "Of course not." And then he'll be pressing his lips to the side of her neck.

She'd kissed him too, after all.
