[Because when a dickhead with wings throws you into the future, drinking away the anger and hurt that comes with the knowledge of what this place is, is clearly the answer. It's not even good whiskey, but she doesn't seem to notice as she knocks back another shot; she'd not bothered keeping track since they started, and now would be a pretty shoddy point in time to start. All she knows is that she's not drunk enough. One hand toying with the empty shotglass, and her other hand rests on the table, curled so tight that her knuckles press white against skin. She reaches for the bottle as she eyes Cass across the table with a sigh.]

So is this--

[She makes a vague gesture with the whiskey bottle: the drugs, the alcohol, the orgy from earlier. Not as if she has any room to disparage the ameliorating qualities of lots of sex and too much alcohol, but self-righteous hypocrisy is never something she's exactly been in short supply of. She shakes her head, lips thinning as she pours herself another shot.]

[If Cas notices the somewhat disparaging tone, she's ignoring it; she only shrugs, leaning forward to rest her elbows on the table and peer at Deanna in what she's sure is that all-too-familiar creepy way she's always done it. Old habits die hard, and the sudden appearance of this Deanna is just making it that much harder to keep to the rules of continued eye contact she'd familiarized herself with over the past few years. And of course, she just likes to look; that hasn't changed either.]

Don't have many other options, really.

[It'd been painful at first, seeing this Deanna again, but that pain has faded to a dull ache in her chest with each shot; Cas can tell the liquor hasn't had the same effect on Deanna, not yet… Clearly the only recourse is to drink more and hope that she can hang on until Zachariah whisks her away.]

It passes the time.
