[Andrea mutters for a good five minutes while looking at the ground, the floor just so interesting to her now, feeling uncomfortable that she was bothering Tegan like this.

The most Tegan might get from Andrea's mumbling is 'cakes', 'fire' and 'help' but that's it.]

Sorry it took so long to answer. Family's been over.

[To her credit, Tegan is not going to shout - despite that small, niggling impulse at the back of her head - because she is a Professional. And Professionals don't shout.

Instead she's going to pinch the bridge of her nose, sigh and say:]

Take me to the kitchen.

It's cool. Been to parties myself.

[Andrea hurriedly, and fearfully, leads the way to the kitchen where there is a heavy smell of smoke lingering in the air.

I have no idea what I did to cause this. It was fine until a few minutes after I put it in.

[If it makes Tegan feel better, she looks extremely apologetic.]

...and now h/v!verse has apparently eaten me. *sigh*

That was supposed to be a strawberry shortcake. [James always loved strawberry shortcakes.]
