Oh, yay. <3 Haha, I am magical in many ways, but I can't yet reply to posts I can't see! :-P sterlingwins December 21 2011, 04:55:44 UTC
[Well, Eliot was not too far off on the idea that there was something wrong with him. Sterling was long on self-confidence and determination, and a bit shorter on self-preservation than was strictly healthy. He'd been on the receiving end of Eliot-caliber violence before, and rather than take it as due warning, he almost seemed to be trying to replicate the experience.

He couldn't quite muffle the hint of laughter as Eliot so vehemently proclaimed his distrust for the man. My my, he hoped he wasn't losing his touch with sarcasm...]

Now, is that because you're confident in your ability to face Russia's Federal Security Service, or just that you trust them not to drug your coffee?

[A curl of his lips as he continued following after the other man, pressing sharp little hooks into the Hitter. Sterling was well-aware that Eliot was not pleased with this arrangement at all, but he was certainly enjoying himself. Spencer being unhappy about it just made things more fun; Sterling was a bit of a sadomasochist at heart, after all.]

[OOC: I do tend to ship those two. What's your feeling on shippy stuff? I also play gen, if that's more to taste.]

Ooops. I thought Sterling was omnipresent! He should've been able to! distinctive_guy December 21 2011, 05:16:37 UTC
[He did not. He. Did. Not. Just mention the coffee. That was it. Eliot was going to kill him.

Rounding suddenly on his heels in a move that would have knocked the teeth out of a the Interpol agent if the man followed too closely, Eliot leveled a glare intense enough to burn the forest around them. He also clenched his fists by his side, audibly so.]

Cause I know I can take'm out, alright? Did it in '03! Now shut the fuck up and help me get that fuckin' tree, Sterling, or I swear, God help you, I'm goin' to punch you so bad your daughter won't recognize ya.

[[OOC: Oh, I don't mind shipping them.... if there can be a way to ship them without them killing one another. XDD Eliot's about T minus five seconds from killing Sterling.]]

[Oh, yes, yes he did. Sterling was enjoying harassing Eliot far too much; possibly enough to put them behind schedule, if he managed to snap the Hitter's temper. It was a very tempting thought, but he supposed he could skip the lecture that would no doubt come with it. Also, there was a job to be done here. One that could go quite a way toward advancing his career if he positioned himself right (and didn't he always).

He smiled when Spencer spun, close enough to feel the rush in the air from the sudden movement, but far enough away to keep his teeth. He met that intense gaze, and it wasn't that he didn't react, but more that it seemed to have the opposite reaction.]

If you're going to be saying things like that you should really buy me dinner first, Spencer.

[Curl of his lips, a flick of his eyelashes and he was heading over to see about the sodding Christmas Tree that Nate had sent them after, and how best to get it back to Eliot's truck.]

[OOC: Sorry for lag, the thread wasn't showing up and then LJ CHANGED EVERYTHING. I am sooooo not a fan of this. Where's my subject field?!? On a happier note, Eliot/Sterling is so much win. That said, I tend to ship them as a rather violent/fightey ship, so as long as it's not permanent death, it works fine for me. ;)]

[As Sterling walked away, Eliot could only stare after that back with a moment of dumbfounded amazement for the agent's sheer audacity for those words. What part of his previous words could be translated to wanting anything to do with Sterling!?

Unable to come up with a better response than a low, throaty, animalistic growl, Eliot pushed Sterling out of the way to get to the tree.]

I can't see it's top properly. You're gonna have to go up there to see if we'll be able to fit the star on it.

[Eliot calmed enough to scowl, which turned to a smirk as he looked up the length of the tall tree that was easily 10 foot tall. The star was the whole point of Sterling being there, something about a precious item that the Interpol agent would not let out of his grasp, and Eliot was now using it against him.]

[[OOC: OH GOD, don't get me started on what LJ did. What Eliot wants to do to Sterling isn't even A FRACTION of what I intend to do to LJ if it doesn't get off its ass and FIX everything it broke within the last hour. I am so pissing mad. *Growls* Anyway, how far do you want to ship them?]]

[Sterling smirked as Eliot just growled, clearly at a loss for snappy retorts -- though, really, implying he had any in the first place was giving him a bit much credit. His strange attraction toward the Hitter wasn't because of his witty repartee. He caught his footing as Eliot pushed him, a brief flash of white teeth.

And then his lips curved into a frown, a cock of his head as he lifted an eyebrow. Oh, nicely played. So, he might not be up to banter of the caliber he sometimes enjoyed with Nate, but Eliot did have his moments. He glared at Spencer, and heaved a sigh. He liked this suit, he was really less than thrilled about having to climb up a soon-to-be Christmas tree to see if the star was going to fit on the top.

He managed to fight the urge to kick Eliot in the face. Just barely.]

Yes, the bloody star will fit on the sodding tree, can we get out of here now?

[And that's Sterling, irritably picking pine needles out of one of his favorite suits as he drops back to the ground. Surprisingly limber, but Eliot had probably realized he was stronger than he looked from that scuffle on a certain barroom table. Eliot had gotten him in the end, but, that really wasn't saying much, now was it?]

[OOC: This is so frustrating it makes it hard to even tag, ugh. LJ better fix this crap. It's so disheartening to check the threads and realize that when this was first suggested everyone said DON'T DO THIS and they implemented it anyway. Way to not listen to your userbase... BUT, I'll pretty much ship them however far you're willing. ;) I love Eliot/Sterling like woah. They're my antidote to the horror, haha. How are we even supposed to do new threads now? askfadj this is BLOODY AWFUL.]

[It was incredibly satisfying to watch Sterling clambering up the needle filled tree just to put that a star on top. So satisfying that Eliot didn't even bother hiding his smirk as he agent grumbled the whole way up.

He greeted Sterling's return with his arms crossed and a smug look on his face.]

Yeah, [He answered, in a much better mood than moments before. Seeing Sterling covered in pine needles helped, so did the chance of sticking one to Sterling, quite literally, as he passed by and poked one of the needles further into him.] Haha, you missed one.

[Snarking away, he went to get the a worker at the tree farm to help them move the tree.]

[[OOC: Like you have no idea! They better fix it, or someone better make a layout override. XD I'll take that solution too if LJ won't stop being an ass. And... Personally I ship Moreau/Eliot, but hey, I take any abrasive Eliot action I can get. The only thing that gets in my way of shipping Eliot with Sterling is my Eliot really wants to punch the lights out of Sterling... so I have no idea how to ship them.]]

[Sterling glared at Eliot's obvious amusement, and there was something rather like a yelp as a pine needle was unexpectedly jabbed into his side. That glare turned sharper, his lips curling in a way that seemed to imply bodily harm, but he took a breath and forced something sort of like a neutral expression to his face. He scowled, watching as one of the workers helped them get the tree over to Eliot's truck.

By the time it was securely mounted to Eliot's truck, Sterling had finally managed to get the last of the needles out, having to take his suit jacket off to get at them all. This was just bollocks, really. He spared a glare for the surrounding pine trees as well, as if this was somehow their fault.]

We have the bloody tree, now let's get the Hell out of here.

[Seriously, if Sterling had to spend too much longer looking at Christmas trees, he was going to turn one of them into firewood.]

[OOC: Oh god this layout needs to go awayyyy. /cry Tbh, I wish there was more shippy possibilities for Sterling, but I quite happily take my fightship. <3 Haha. I started shipping them when during The Zanzibar Market Job me and a friend looked at one another and were all "Just me, or did it almost look like they were going to fuck on that table?" Ahahaha. But, if it doesn't work not going to push it, it's just good fun. And punching is totally allowed. :P I'm also willing to try and scheme up situations where for a job or what-not they have to play nice. They were totally adorable for Queen's Gambit... You know, until Eliot was on the floor and Sterling groped-- Uhm, I mean, what?]

[Eliot's good mood maintained even after the tree was loaded. He was back behind the wheel of his truck, necessity for loading the tree, and there was no Sterling in the seat beside him. He could still hear the man from his open window though.]

First good thing to come from your mouth all day.

[The hitter briefly considered leaving Sterling behind, but figured that in the end, the satisfaction of a quiet trip back and watching Sterling disappear in his rear-view mirror wouldn't be worth Nate's lecture and Sterling's whining. As much as he seriously, and that was seriously, hated it, they still had to work together for the rest of this job.]

Get in before I leave you here!!

[He drummed his fingers impatiently on the wheel and set the radio to a country rock station as he waited. As soon as Sterling climbed aboard, he scowled and drove.]

[[OOC: I do admit, after Queen's Gambit, I think Sterling's my next favorite person to put paired up with Eliot on screen, after Hardison that is. The man annoys Eliot to no end and an annoyed Eliot is a funny Eliot.]]

Annoying each other is like grade-school flirting, right? :P sterlingwins December 23 2011, 02:24:01 UTC
[Sterling, despite his less-than-charming nature decided that now was a good time to actually do what Eliot said before the Hitter chose to drive off without him. It seriously would put a crimp in their plans for this job, aside from the fact of Sterling's sure-to-be-insufferable annoyance.

As he got in and Eliot turned on the radio, Sterling lifted an eyebrow, his face carefully displaying disdain for the man's musical tastes as he shut the door of the truck. Of course, he barely had the door shut before Eliot was pulling out onto the dirty road that lead back to cement paving and, eventually, civilization.]

I can't let you leave me behind, and ruin all our lovely quality time together.

[Sterling did try to annoy Eliot of purpose. It was one of the simple pleasures in life: good scotch, a nicely tailored new suit, and pissing off Eliot.]

[OOC: Not entiiiirely sure where to go from here. If you have an idea, I'll gladly follow, or if you wanna jump, feel free, orrr we can always go steal us another meme. ;) ]

So is rough housing. *Snerk* distinctive_guy December 23 2011, 04:15:10 UTC
[[OOC: Might not be a bad idea to just steal another meme... Or brainstorm a new direction. Or time skip to something else where Eliot can beat up Sterling.

Because if we had to continue, we'll need to plot out how to steal Christmas! XD]]

Hahah, sooo true! :D sterlingwins December 23 2011, 09:44:00 UTC
[OOC: Works for me, you got a preference for which one? I'm pretty easy, though, something where they can fight sounds perfect. Of course, could always just handwave the details of the job and say everything worked out, and somehow Eliot and Sterling end up alone, Eliot gets punchy, et cetera, et cetera.

Sterling's flexible, heh.]

They need to grow up. distinctive_guy December 23 2011, 09:48:04 UTC
[[OOC: I'm also open to AUs too if you really want to ship them. I don't think I'll be able to make my normal canon Eliot turn into a Sterling lover without maybe 50 cases in between, but I can do AU ones where they start as lovers or I don't know. Things. Situations.

But I don't think Eliot will ever not get upset in Sterling's presence. The guy just pisses him off.]]

What fun is growing up? sterlingwins December 23 2011, 09:58:46 UTC
[OOC: AUs can certainly be fun! :) Though, I am sort of a fan of the angriness dynamic too. I love the fighting/bickering, it's just hotter with some sexiness/shippiness too. Haha.

Of course, it's not as if Sterling doesn't seem to try to tick him off, so, it's totally understandable.]

Acting like mature adults for... adulty things? distinctive_guy December 23 2011, 10:00:58 UTC
[[OOC: I PMed you. ^^;;

There's one thing that I agree wholeheartedly with Sterling... Getting an angry, annoyed Eliot is one of the most enjoyable things around. XD Given, he could also beat him to a bloody pulp.

He's lucky Eliot's now a good guy.]]
