They'd been 'dating' for a while, at least when Steve could come and see her. She hated that they didn't get to see each other much but she'd take what she could get. He was supposed to come see her in a couple days but she decided to surprise him instead and she'd never been to Texas. Glad he didn't live on base or she couldn't have done this, she was now knocking on his door and hoping he was there.
