(no subject)
Well today has been a pretty hot one. I have spent the day in my attic with my pretty princess coloring book, a brand new box of crayons, and my m:robe in my ears. Nothing can be better. Right? I have seen something kinda funny. Its that in my coloring book, every girl looks the same and falls in love with one of the guys, who all look the same too. Is this what the young kids are learning from these fairy tales. That if they are good and look pretty, maybe some prince will come by and fall in love with them. Then he would marry her of course and take her to some magical far away land where she will be happy for ever and ever. Now everybody, how often does that happen?
Love is not so common, and just because he is the first prince that comes by doesn't mean that he is your prince, and really, a prince might not be for you. You could be the type that goes for the poor farm boy(girl), who is far better that any prince. It works vica versa too. The farm boy may go for the cheap whore thats on the corner, the princess, a fellow farm girl, or another guy if hes into that.
There is this picture in this book, that a guy is handing the girl some flowers, later you find out that they get married in later pictures. Love is nothing like this either. Just because the guy does something nice for you, or you do something nice for the guy doesn't = marriage.
Wow, I wonder how the human race survives if all the girls save them selves for the Handsome stranger who make all of their wishes come true. Totally looking over that someone that isn't like the story books, and isn't like what you learn when you are little, and therefor missing out on something that could have happened, hoping for something better.
Conclusion! -I'll create my own coloring book! With a more realistic view on love, sadness, and princess. "Because all girls are princesses." (name that move!!!!!!)
