Not one to argue with a free trip to California, Lindsay had managed to pack quickly and get to the airport just in time. Then there was a limo ride to the Stark Mansion, a luxurious night's stay in one of the guest rooms and now: A private beach.

Ronon was not complaining about anything. "Your boss knows how to live. Who knew California could be like this."

"Yeah well, Tony wouldn't appreciate it anyway," Lindsay replied. "He'd just end up in the basement tinkering on something."

Scientists. Ronon knew them well. "Good thing we're here to appreciate it for 'em."

"So you're having fun, then?" she said turning on her side to look at Ronon. "Not bored out of your mind? Maybe there's some giant squid off the coast you can kill."

"Beats another day at a spa," he admitted. "You wanna go kill squid?"

"Aw. You looked good with avacado on your face," she teased. "You can go kill a squid if you want. I'll... um. Just watch."

"No fun if you're not gonna help," he told her.

"Do I look dressed for killing squid?" she teased.

[satedan_soldier]

He took a moment to appreciate her state of dress. "I've known chicks who fight in that stuff. Just needs more fringe."

"Yeeeeeah," she said with a smirk. "I don't have a place to clip my holster. I don't think I'd be able to help much other than to distract the squid by flashing him."

"Might not be too distracting for the squid," Ronon considered. "Not that I'd mind."

"Well then I'd end up distracting you," she said finishing one beer and cracking open another. "Can't let that happen."

"Afraid the giant squid's gonna get you?" Ronon didn't remember hearing of giant squid in California. Might've made Atlantis more appealing these days.

"Well, I don't want it to get you if I'm running around distracting you," she joked. "Should I change?"

"Nah, we're doing that relaxing thing I hear's so popular. And they're paying you for it."

"Um. Yeah, something like that," she said feeling a pang of guilt. "Can I get you another beer?"
