Job is giong to china

Well, yep that is right. We got a huge blow at the plant this week. Wednesday they announced to us (at Yamaha Musical Products) that our plant would be shut down and all our jobs would move to china. At least I can say with confidence that I did not take this job for the money.

I think all day wedesday I was in shock. Then thursday I went through greif. Not because my future in uncertain. It is because I just love this job so much. It has been a ton of fun for me to work in the music industry. I felt like I was making a difference. I also have made many new friends here. I know many of the new friendships I have made will not remain forever because so many people will be moving or finding new things in new places.

I don't know what is in store for me, but I am believeing that this is giong to be a miracle for me. Right now that door is open for anything. I am so glad I could learn so much about musical insturment repair and assembly in such a short time. I am also thankful for the musicians that have helped me grow and learn so much about doubling and all the fun I have had.

So- right now life is hopeful, very hopeful. There is some uncertainty but... I know we can always scrimp and make it.

I have so many ideas about what to do next, it excites me so much!
