OMG! ok, I just got back from the YLC program in College Station, TX, where I was a JFL Fellow, and WOW! I'm sooo happy I went!
Ok, to start off I have to say that my kids were by far the best at the competition that they had ever been and they really are amazing children. I got to know kids that I hadn't met previously and got to be w/ my children that I already knew and learn more about them. As a group, they are the best group of kids a girl could ask for, and I will forever think of them as MY CHILDREN. Thank yoU to all of them for allowing me to be w/ yoU in this amazing experience. I love yoU all.
secondly, I want to congradulate the group as a whole because they performed at an amazing calibur and they were definite competition for the larger teams...
thridly, I shall devote a few words to each individual on the trip...
Ale~ ha, wow, yoU freaked me out w/ the fact that we share the same friends... but I think yoU are the coolest and I know that we get along great... I really hope to get to know yoU better, cuz I think yoU are awesome and just the right amount of weird
Luz~ haha babe! wow, yoU really ought to take a shower! hahaha, well, six 14 hour bus rides together and we haven't killed each other yet! haha, well, I know yoU know that I love yoU and I'm glad we were roomates... man, we gotta get together w/ our future husbands soon!
Alan~ crazy man! I didn't really know yoU at all before this trip, but man, I'm so glad yoU came! yoU are an awesome friend and we have to visit each others rooms at epcc cuz M n' O is the way to go! (Mock and Oratory)
Vero~ wow, dude, I can't believe yoU are going away... but yoU will come back I know. well, I'm happy that I got to spend yoUr last NHI w/ yoU and yoU must keep in contact and stick around!
Mike~ MY CHILD! I'm sooooo proud of yoU! yoU know yoU worked so hard and deserved everything yoU got out of this experience! yoU will now be going to nationals and competing among the best in the country! good luck! I'm too proud for words! I'm also so happy to be working w/ yoU next year, training some more amazing kids! yoU will love it, no doubt!
Bobbie~ OMG! yoU are my girl! haha! I know yoU worked so hard and have every right to be proud of yoUrself! that finals round rocked! much love!
Bryce~ yoU blew me away w/ the mad skill that yoU have especially after soo little time... I know yoU are an excellent kid, with a lot of talent and yoU are an awesome person! I hope to get to know yoU a lot better soon, because I think yoU are wonderful!
Sergio~ my god kid! yoU are a little manwhore! lmao... no really, I don't have a problem w/ it as long as yoU are single *cough*... well, I think yoU did an awesome job, and I really do believe in yoUr abilities! I hope yoU know that yoU are really talented and yoU deserve anything that yoU have worked for!
Esteban~ I TOLD YOu! I knew from the beginning that yoU could do it! yoUr ability to move people through yoUr speaking skills is tremendous! I really want to get to know yoU as a person now, because I know yoU are hilarious, but I don't know much about yoU. Good luck at nationals!
John E. and Mike M.~ I HATE YOu FOR DITCHING YOuR team! I KID! I KID! yoU two did an amazing job w/ the switch over and I know yoU will come back to yoUr roots next year and train yoUr hearts out for MOCK!
John A.~ even though yoU have been dubbed the sickest individual of the trip, I know there is still some good in yoU and I know yoU really tried. yoU amazed me and I thank yoU for being my child.
Anthony~ loud loud loud. but that's always good in an orator... well, i never got to see yoU speak at the competition but I heard yoU did extremely well and I am glad yoU stepped out of yoUr quiet little self to become the witty individual yoU are today!
Daniel Z.~ all I ever hear from everyone are good things about yoU. that's awesome but how could it not be true! yoU are an awesome kid and I think yoU will really enjoy nationals!
Marisa~ thank yoU for being there. I know yoU will be w/ us for a long time to come and I hope yoU enjoy it as much every year. I know it is an amazing feeling and yoU and I share the same passion for these kids so I look forward to a great future.
