If you are a homeschool graduate who is now in college or was ever in college (whether you graduated or not), completeinhim needs your help! Go to her entry to take a survey for her so she can get some good statistics about us homeschoolers...

Hi Melinda! I know this is an old post, but it's the most recent public post, so...

Just wanted to tell you that we were at your graduation today (my cousin was graduating too) and Bethany had mentioned that you were a graduate also. So when you walked across, you had a another group (including my cousins, my dad, my aunt, my brother, a couple little girls and me!) cheering and clapping for you. :-D My 16 yr. old cousin figured out that you were the girl "with the really long, super curly hair" and he kept us updated on how many people were in front of you, "Only five more! Oh, oh look, four more! Wait, she took another step... two more... almost there, Curly Haired Girl! There she goes! Yay, Melinda!! Good job!! Way to go!!!" We were about doubled over laughing at him. :-D I looked for you after the ceremony, but, you know, it was a bit crazy around there!

So, just wanted to tell you Congratulations on such a wonderful achievement! It was great to see you, even from afar. :-)

Congrats!
Ashleigh Baker

Oh! How nice of you guys to cheer for me!!! I had no idea you were going to be there. I wish I had run into you, but that would have been a miracle if I had considering how many people were there...!

I couldn't hear hardly anything when I was up on stage because the speakers were right there, BUT I did hear someone yell, "GO MELINDA!" (or something of that nature). Since I heard it from behind me, I thought it was someone in the line of graduates like one of my classmates. However, I was talking to Bethany today, and she said that your cousin(?) yelled out when I went on stage and that you guys were sitting on a grass hill. Would this grass hill happen to be to the right of the stage (if you're facing the stage from the audience point of view)? If so, perhaps that was your cousin I heard! The yell definitely came from behind me.

Thanks for letting me know you guys were cheering for me. That was very nice of you to do so!!! :-)

Yep! That would've been us! We were over on the grass by the band. What fun. :-) I know--I wish we could've met up, but I thought it was pretty good that we actually found my cousin! It was great to at least see your face. :-)

How fun that it was your group I heard!!! :-)

Do you remember meeting before? It was at my church, and it was quite a few years ago... :-)

Can I add you as a friend? I just posted a bunch of pictures from my graduation and so forth that maybe you want to see. :-)

Yes, I do remember when we met... it was quite a while ago, wasn't it?! I think about four years ago, if I remember correctly! I'd love to see the pictures from graduation... what fun to think that we were both there.:-) I added you--looking forward to keeping in contact. :-)

Yes, it must have been at least four years ago! Wow. I bet we've both changed a lot since then. :-) I just added you as a friend, so you should be able to go back and see my pictures of my graduation. Sorry I didn't do it sooner. I was on vacation and just got back today!
